Advance Eye Center

When I originally went to this office for my appointment, I was treated very nice and had no troubles. After I had received my trial pair of contacts, which remind you, I have worn contacts for 30 some years the doctor then said that I needed to come back to have the contacts approved so that he could order more contacts for me. Which would have been fine however they are only open until 2 o'clock Mondays and Fridays and every other Wednesday. I work Monday through Friday until 230. There is no way I can physically get to this building to have him look at my eyes with the hours that they are open. So they refuse to give me my contact script or allow me to order contacts because the doctor did not see me for the follow up. I will never go back there and make sure that my family knows not to schedule at this office.

A variety of complaints about this place. First they dialated my eyes then sent me out to pick out glasses. Couldn't see anything so I didn't pick any out. Went to wall of designer glasses and was told the ones on a different rack were what my insurance covers. Informed the lady that I get an allowance so I can choose whichever glasses I like and pay the difference. She replied that they prefer me to choose from the one rack. Never received any follow ups with my trial contacts. Had to call them to see if they arrived. Three weeks later, no contacts because they are on back order. They won't give me my Rx until I wear the trials for a week. I asked for my eye glass Rx and was told that the lady who writes those wasn't in. It's been 3 weeks since my exam and they don't have my eyeglass Rx written? This place is horrible. I'm pretty sure they cannot refuse you your Rx. I can't go get another exam at another Dr. so I am at their mercy for a Rx?

Avoid at all costs. Everyone here is extremely nice, however they will not give out your prescription. Came here in December to get an exam for contacts, which I've had since 6th grade. They refused to give me the prescription that day. Said I needed to wear the trial contacts and then I could get the prescription. Took until march to get the trials. 3 months is an absurd amount of time with no contact to wait to be able to see. Then they still refuse to give me my prescription so I can order the contacts from someone else as I'm obviously not dealing with them again.

Helpful staff. I have yet to have a problem or one they immediately weren't all over. Just a friendly, local, hometown feel to the office. If you like that, this is where you want to go.
