Dr. Richard Bowers is a great Dr. Didn't hold back. Told me exactly like it was or could be. Very professional and caring.

They are horrible. No coordination of appointments. One for every task. Eye test, testing, eye doctor all separate appointments. I am sure charging more for multiple appointments. Wanted to charge me 75 cents per appointment to fax records to new doctor. I have the fax. Of the new doctor requests via fax no cost. At every turn they will charge you. If I could give no stars I would.

Cindy in the Optometry Dept has exceptional knowledge and people skills. She is wonderful. I had my first interaction with Dr.Staines, she was efficient, thorough and caring. When something wasn't right, she immediately worked to correct the issue. I also think Dr. Bowers is an excellent diagnostician and great physician. The office however is so busy, that patients here to see him wait too long, often much longer than 2-3 hours.

First of all, the little room you go into before the actual appointment with the eye doctor was extremely unprofessional. I get they were training people, but it was unlike anything i've come across before in a "professional" setting. I knew from THAT moment, that I wouldn't be returning. And there were gnats flying around. So then once I seen the actual doctor, He looked at my eyes for like 5 minutes and just told me it was "overuse of contacts" that was bothering my dry eyes. Meanwhile, when I called, i told them i wanted my contacts looked at as the culprit and possibly changing them bc I didnt think they fit right and irritated my eye. The doctor told me I would have to do a contact exam. THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME THIS ON THE PHONE, NOT SAY THE DOCTOR WILL TAKE CARE OF IT AND SCHEDULE THIS APPOINTMENT. IT WAS POINTLESS. THEY DID NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING I SAID WHEN I CALLED TO MAKE THE APPOINTMENT. And the doctor gave me some sham of a "diagnosis"... didnt even look at the irritation my contacts cause (because they had me take them OUT. It was a complete waste of money and time. They failed to listen to me on why i needed the appointment to begin with. HIGHLY disappointed and do not recommend this office.

Dr. Bowers and his team did an excellent job! The team (at Heritage Valley Kennedy Hospital and the Office, and the Sewickley Office) all worked together to make my experience a positive one. I didn't know what to expect, and they eased my concerns and fears. Dr. Bowers was very kind and considerate, which means so much to me. I want to give a special thank you to Marji at the Sewickley office. She answered some questions I had when i went for the measurement part of the procedure. Thank you all!!

Very unprofessional staff on the phone. Tried making an emergency appointment I've been having blurred vision and without a cancelation list they Tried scheduling an appointment a month out! How do they not have a cancelation list? Especially for people like myself for an emergency situation.

I have been loyal for 4 years and they have always been there for my eyes. My appointment is always quick and easy going. The best part is getting your new glasses from their lovely ladies that make sure your experience is the best and you get the best care possible. Even with the pandemic, their willingness to help makes sure we are safe. Get your eyes check and this is an awesome place to go. Schedule early, in and out! Insurance matters and helps! They help you feel safe.
