Greeted with smiles upon arrival. Office very clean. VERY PROFESSIONAL STAFF! Completed check-in and Nick took me to an examining room. Initial eye screening. Nick was very kind, calm & professional. He explained the eye procedure. He did not rush through the exam. The office atmosphere is very calm/welcoming. Dr. Gilbert entered and explained what eye exam would be done for this visit. Dr. Gilbert's manner is very calm and professional. Dr. Gilbert answered all my questions. My next appointment was made before leaving the office. Kalyn Harvath was absolutely outstanding. Her outgoing personality was a pleasure to experience. She was extremely kind and very pleasant to talk to. It's unfortunate that she is only there temporarily since she has been assigned to Pocono Summit. The Mountain Top facility will surely miss her as she is a major asset to the Institute.
Dr Demichele, was the main reason why I chose Institute Mountain Top because she is a Dry Eye Specialist. Dr Demichele was extremely knowledgeable and performed a pinpoint examination as to what was wrong with my dry eyes. She prescribed the regiment of eyedrops and procedures that my eyes may need in the future.

Hi, accidentally tried to blind myself recently. I had two bottles that looked almost identical. One was a bacterial wash and one eye wash. The bacteria wash was sitting next to my eye cup that came with my eyewash which was in the cabinet. Well, when I woke up, I had something in my eye, I'm also recovering from major surgery, so I just grabbed that white bottle sitting next to my eye cup and put it right in my eye. Less than two seconds I realized what I had done and began flushing. I google searched the closest ophthalmologist and I found this wonderful office. Mindi was incredible on the Phone: patient, kind, friendly.
They told me to come right in that an optician would see me and if I needed an ophthalmologist, they would help escalate it further and wanted me to come in right away in case we needed enough time in the day to get to the ophthalmologist. I was very lucky and that everything worked out but The quality of care for a complete stranger who has never been in their office before was second to none and I will recommend this office every time.
