This place is a joke now! Ever since Dr. Smay sold.it! The staff are extremely rude and have no idea what they are doing! I've worked here before and never had it been this bad. I'd first like to say how unprofessional the staff looks. I've taken my kids and grand daughter there twice, since it has had new ownership and BOTH times it was completely unprofessional. Not only with the staff looking a mess and not knowing what to do, the girl at the front gave us SOMEONE'S paperwork. When I told her that she gave me someone else's information she just shrugged her shoulders and laughed. My daughter did get glasses that day and when she went to pick them up she had to WAIT OVER an hour...... JUST.FOR PICK UP. Nobody there was helpful and just stayed on their phones. This place is.SO unorganized from check in to check out. The new owners MAY want to consider some kind of dress code again, because pajamas bottoms and slippers looks VERY unprofessional. I will not be going back there.

Bad experience! Went in to get new glasses their systems were down I understand things happen. It wasn't a big deal I understood that it wasn't anybodies fault, but they called me days later to tell me there was an issue with my prescription! They told me that the lady that had the issue/question wasn't in and she would give me a call back. Days went by I called back and they said "ohh I forgot to call you we figured everything out your glasses are in they should be here within the week." I get a call they next day saying the My insurance did not cover the frames I wanted and I needed to go back in there and pick out new ones. It's been almost three weeks and still no glasses! I will say that the staff was very nice and helpful! I just wish they were a little more responsible when it comes to other people's necessities.

This place is horrendous. The telephone receptionist is some guy with a heavy Indian accent it was almost like trying to communicate with Microsoft tech support. The Drs there are horrible, simply wasted my time with pointless trips to the office for no reason. Scheduling sucks even though the office is always empty. What a dump don't go to any of the Family eye Care offices you're better off shooting your eyes out with a BB gun.

Hire new office help!!!! Very painful trying to make appt. Sat on hold 3 times each lasting 7-11 minutes before I hung up each time. Then finally making the appointment she needed a ridiculous amount of group names and numbers that i had to call UPMC 2 times and get info neededfor your office girl. So I called another eye docter and made an appointment with just saying UPMC and giving my last four digits of ss # and bam appt made else where. You did come recommended by my boss. Which will not be recommending you again.
