Dr Shovlin took over my daughter's case after her initial opthomologiat closed her practice suddenly. Diagnosed as a newborn with a cataract that was surgically removed at 4 months, she's been wearing a contact lens since 6 months of age. It has NOT been an easy journey, as young kids are not cooperative with patching, and removing and inserting the lens is extremely difficult, especially now that she is 2 1/2 yrs old. Dr Shovlin is not only the most patient, caring doctor I've encountered (and we've dealt with many Drs near and far with this issue!), but also the most knowledgeable. I know my daughter is in the best hands and he's one of 3 doctors that I owe her vision to.
