Burrell Family Eye Care

I absolutely love this practice. I have been going here about 3 years since I moved to the area. Dr. Amalia Burrell has helped me with both regular yearly visits and eye pain/ irritation. She always makes me feel comfortable and will discuss any and all concerns I have with care and without rushing me. She is extremely knowledgeable and happy to explain things. She has even called personally after I missed an appointment to make sure I was feeling better. The practice also has late hours which is so helpful for working families. Thank you Burrell Eye Care for all of your care over the years!

I went here once, I'm thinking of coming back next year because they had nice glasses at a good price, I hope they still have nice ones so I can bring my husband. If I don't see what I like ill just go somewhere else.

The office staff is rude. They gave my daughter the wrong prescription glasses and they dont communicate with me or my daughter and we always leave the office in confusion. Its so bad that i feel walmart eye care has friendlier and more competant staff!

Amazing service and expertise I had an emergency, and I couldn't in to see my regular doctor for weeks. I was able to make an appt the very next day. The doctor was knowledgeable and helped me clear up my problem quickly. Will definitely to use them for future care.

I never ever leave reviews but I just wanted to express how lovely everyone was and how great my experience was at this office. I haven't gotten my eyes checked since middle school and the process was so thorough to make sure everything was accurate with no false reading for my prescription. They double checked it all! I also got the cutest glasses at an affordable rate. I never wore glasses before but knew something was off and was lucky to have decided to come here. I'm not a big fan of doctors and a lot of my experiences are with people who see so many patients it's so in and out and I never feel like I got all my answers. It was such the opposite here. Super caring staff etc. Thank you

After suffering the last few years by getting my glasses done at a national chain (even though I've been getting my eye exams at Dr Burrell for that same time period), I finally had enough and decided to get them done at his office. What an amazing difference! The quality of my glasses is my most important concern, and even though the staff offered to get my glasses done there, I always declined. Guess that is a lessons learned for me...always go for quality and for the first time in a number of years, my glasses fit...are perfectly balanced (progressive lens can be tricky) and they were done well ahead of the designated time. I would give them 6 stars if I could!!

Optician is very rude and unpleasant. She has been always impolite and had attitude to me for last few years. Only reason why I keep coming this office is because dr. Burrell. He is very nice. One time I saw the other female doctor and she was cold and unprofessional. She did not warn me at all about my blurry vision after some test with eye drop(supposed to make my pupil to be dilated?) and let me drive my car right after. I could not see well at all and almost got an accident on ridge pike. I am debating to whether go back to this office or not because of optician and the female doctor I had last time.

Was looking for a new optometrist in the area. Wanted to try this place because it is family owned - assumed it would provide more attentive and friendly service than the one they have at Target optical. When arrived, I was seen not by Dr. Burrel but someone else entirely. No one even mentioned that that's what was going to happen when I had scheduled. They have very old equipment and the doctors office was messy. Further than that when I was asked if my pupils could be dilated - I said "yes" without knowing that it'd mean I wouldn't be able to read/drive and be disoriented for more than two hours. The doctor didn't tell me about the side effects upfront. Right after dilating they led me to the "store" area and tried selling me extremely overpriced contacts while I can't read or see anything. They've also sold me the "premium" contact fitting service without me agreeing to it beforehand. I was clear when I setup an appointment that I want to utilize my free yearly checkup appointment and free contacts fitting service from my insurance. I've been wearing contacts for more than 10 years and don't need a "premium" fitting experience - there was absolutely no reason for that - neither did it provide anything extra in comparison to the regular fitting - I just wanted a simple checkup and renewal of my eye prescription. Instead, I was overcharged unnecessarily and they tried to pressure me into buying overpriced contacts while I was disoriented and couldn't even read.
