I saw Dr. Catanio for an eye exam and she was great! She was efficient and kind, and did a wonderful job of explaining things to me. Then I saw Mena for help picking out the right frames for my new prescription, and she was awesome! Super helpful and clearly knows her stuff- that was the best experience I've ever had with getting new glasses!!! I will be back to see her the next time I have a new prescription!

I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. April Mishley. During my appointment, I felt rushed, dismissed, and uneasy. I did not feel that my concerns were taken seriously or properly addressed.
After the visit, I reviewed my medical chart and discovered that an eye condition had been documented without any discussion or explanation provided to me during the appointment. I find this extremely concerning. Patients deserve to be informed about any diagnoses or findings, as well as appropriate follow-up care. Failing to communicate this information is irresponsible and undermines trust.
I scheduled a follow-up appointment specifically to address this issue, but after waiting for over an hour in the waiting room, I had to leave due to prior commitments.
I have since changed providers and am now under the care of Dr. Catanio, who has been much more attentive and professional. I will also be bringing this matter to management's attention.

I love this practice. I've gone there for over 30 years. They are very efficient and helpful. I get time with my Dr. to ask questions and never feel rushed. I also love the dedicated parking at both the Providence office and the Narragansett office.

My daughter has been a patient of Dr. Donahue's for 9 years. We love him. However, it seems to get harder every year to get someone on the phone, and most recently trying to get a contact lens appointment was an hour wait on the line. The morning of the appointment they call to tell me they "misquoted" the price of her contact lens fitting. I advise them we have eye insurance, and that the out of pocket payment is a max of $50 with that insurance. They call back 45 minutes before the appointment after a supervisor looks at it and says the same thing. It's maddening to wait this long for an appointment and they can't process insurance correctly. Sadly, we are going elsewhere from now on.
Replying to the "Response from the owner": I won't be calling to wait for another hour to reach someone. Especially since it took 3 months for you to respond to my review. You have my name and contact information should anyone care enough to speak to me.

I was taken on time. Everyone was fast and efficient. My wife and I have been going there for years. This is the first year we had to pay for our exams even though we have VSP. We called and were told the visits were billed as medical visits and therefore were not fully covered by our medical insurance and they would not bill through our VSP. Sounds like a money grab. Won't be returning.
