Calenda Eye Care Center

Dr. Levin and Dr. Calenda are fantastic. This rating is for the check out person. 2 years in a row now she tried to charge me $30 co-pay. I have a no co-pay annual eye exam through my insurance. It was as if I personally attacked her! She became rude and belligerent. Last year I refused to pay it. It came through my insurance $0 co-pay. This year I did the same, then called my insurance company. How many people do they do this to? Retired folks with a fixed income. I am filing a complaint and going to a new doctor.

*two stars for front desk staff* I have been a patient of Calenda Eye Care for as long as I can remember. The doctors are wonderful. Dr Levin is extremely kind and knowledgeable. Even suggested a specialist to help me with migraines. Front desk staff, aside from Joanne, have been very rude and seem bothered every time I walk in or speak with them on the phone. I overheard them making fun of an elderly patient that one staff member hung up on while waiting for my appointment. As the first interaction with clients, they should be kinder since the front desk staff sets the tone for the office. Staff could benefit from some customer service training.

My first time here. Very nice staff! Dr. Levin was great and personable. He gave me clear information after examining my eyes with the eye test before Dr. Calenda came in to see me. Dr. Calenda is a nice guy who was thorough and didn't make you wait like some other offices do! I ended up purchasing my eyeglasses from Sandra and she was patient and very helpful. I'd recommend Calenda Eye Care!

My mother's appointment last year the girls in front were rude she figured ok it's Monday. Then the Drs were the same. Did not offer any explanations. When I made a next year appointment it turned out to be a Monday so I changed it. I just had to cancel the appointment and the answering service again was rude. I have a family issue. Now I have to find a new eye doctor. I truly miss the original Dr Calenda and the ortstaff they were wonderful. You people need to remember you can be heard talking about patients and laughing from the waiting area. Without us where would you be. One less patient So sad.

Long time patient. Always have found the office personnel friendly. They know me by first name. Sandra is always pleasant.. knowledgeable.. and helpful in choosing glasses. But the reason I return is because of Drs. Calenda and Dr. Levin. I literally trust my vision to their expertise.

Excellent office from both a patient's and a physician's point of view! Always prompt and polite, and Dr. Calenda has an excellent bedside manner to go along with his depth of knowledge in his field. Always a pleasure to deal with this office!

Horrible customer service and front desk personnel. Dr. Levin is wonderful and it's unfortunate that he works with such a team. I've stuck with them for years because of his great service. However, the office hours are not always maintained, the call service is often on during open business hours, I've waiting over 45 minutes for a scheduled appointment, and have received rude responses when inquiring about prescriptions/appointments/orders etc. Frankly, this office is a train wreck. At this point, shame on me for not finding a new provider sooner.

This is my first appointment and wasn't seen until 45 minutes after my appt. Time. Not impressed so far. Baffled how you can be behind schedule by 10:15am when you open at 8:30.
