My children and I have been going here for about 2 years now. I have always had a pleasurable experience. We are in and out quickly however, he is also very thorough and patient with all of us.

Beware my son was taken here by his mom and I noticed something was off when my son was given glasses and he seemed more uncoordinated wearing them however he is only four and really couldn't tell us much of what he was seeing when speaking with the dr about it he tried argue with me and tell me my son needed glasses for life and made his condition far worse out to be than it was took him to another optometrist with way more reviews and turns out the doctor gave him a far stronger prescription than he needed which I believe he may have been trying to get a customer for life my son being farsighted kids actually grow out of farsightedness over time and it's like he was trying to make his sight worse than it was so he could keep a customer for life knowing his mom was right down the street not knowing the father was going to step in and go and get a second opinion and turns out second opinion that he doesn't necessarily need glasses for life and that they can gradually lower the prescription depending on where it goes so he gave him a way stronger than prescription glasses and when the other optometrist with hundreds of reviews and no reason to lie rather than this doctor with only a few who probably doesn't have many patients so needs as many as he can get gives my son a stronger than normal prescription which was damaging his eyes and could have made his eyes worse for life. Be careful when you're messing with children that's not right as a doctor you should know better than that or doing that to anybody greed is the root of evil. After speaking with the doctor I fully now believe his intentions were to give a stronger prescription to gradually make my son's eyes worse over time where he would ultimately always need glasses and always be coming back to him however this is not the case. When talking to a doctor with plenty of patients and no need to lie and was thoroughly examined turns out the prescription he was given was extremely strong and was actually making my son's eyes worse finally we got the right prescription always get second opinions people especially when it comes to your health eye care or any type of health care you have to watch out for some of these doctors and people trying to keep the door revolving rather than actually healing people

I have been very pleased with the professional care that Dr. Bowen has provided. It's apparent that he cares about his patients. It's always a very relaxed experience when visiting his clinic.

I just recently switched to Bowen Family Eye care. I switched because the location is conveniently located near my new office on Abbeville Square. I was pleasantly surprised by the professional office staff and the optometrist. The optometrist was very patient with my children and even had me laughing until I had tears in my eyes because he asked them questions and kids say the darnedest things! He made it look easy to work with my wiggly 7 year old! It was a great experience!

Got an appointment quickly (within days). Friendly staff with great sense of humor, easy to get to location... couldn't be better.

I am 72 years old and over the years I been to many different optometrist.But it never occurred to me that the very best is right here in Abbeville,SC.And very close by!!!
