When I first walked in, I was a little put off because I felt it was very generic. I used the bathroom and it was dirty. I was turned off at this point.
However, the actual eye doctor was very nice and spot on with my prescription. Did not take long and it was extremely accurate. Office staff was extremely nice and helpful.
They did not have the samples for my contacts, but they ordered them for me, took about two weeks, but once I got them, they were perfect, Which is a first for me.
Even though their prices are good, I ordered contacts through Costco because they have the best prices and for progressive lenses also.
But I will go back here for my eye exams.
One of the BEST locations I've ever been to! Having a difficult time getting my specific contacts, yet when I called on Dec. 23rd, Ms. Tammy was able to help me with a temporary pair and when I went to get them, Ms. Lillian was an absolute joy to be around! She even helped my by ordering them and having them sent to my house! HIGHLY recommend this location as the atmosphere and friendliness is a much needed relief!
I worked with Elaine, Alyssa, and Tammy. I'm from out of town and needed to make a purchase for contacts. With it being the beginning of the year, I remembered I had vision insurance, for the first time. They all had great information to help me with making a decision and learning what I needed to do, helpful with looking at the details of my prescriptions, and even helping me make changes with the purchase. I love working with Americas best, the employees across the states I've used them in are exceptional, patient and kind. And America's best has the best prices with or without coverage.
I originally made an appointment for my two sons after I called and was told the minimum age was 5. My youngest son's appointment was just cancelled with no notice, so I called and asked for an explanation. They said they won't do an exam until 8. Which is fine, but I would have appreciated a heads up instead of a cancellation email that went to my junk mail. I take my other son to his appointment still and service was terrible. Front desk employee was great though. She thoroughly explained my benefits and let my son know where he can look at frames. The tech, however, was extremely rude to both of us and asked me why I was even here if he can see the board at school before even doing the screening. My son has had glasses since he was a toddler and his prescription changes every year. It's called an ANNUAL exam for a reason. My son has a communication disorder and the tech has an accent. He was struggling to understand her instructions and she was impatient and rude with him when he didn't immediately respond. He's not being rude, it just takes him longer to process what's being said. After he read the letters on the wall she threw her hands up, scoffed, and said "He can see fine. He doesn't need glasses." I wasn't aware that an Optical Technician was qualified to diagnose and give medical advice. But since she knows best and there's no point in waiting another hour to see the Dr, we let the front desk know we were leaving and would seek care elsewhere. Front desk employee and General Manager were apologetic and cancelled the appointment. I offered to pay for the pre-exam screening, but they said it was fine since we didn't see the Dr. yet.
First time trying this company. My vision coverage didnt exactly cover what was needed and but I still went through with the process. The place was crowded and i didnt see the Optometrist at my scheduled time but he was great so I proceeded. Today, I called regarding my contact prescription and was hung up on 3 times before even stating my reason for calling. I then called a 4th time 20 minutes later and voiced concern about being hung up on. The representative laughed and placed me on hold. I'm sorry, I missed the joke.
Obviously, someone has gotten too comfortable in their position. This is unacceptable behavior. Anywhere else, she would be fired!
Had a less than ideal visit here for the first time ever. After my exam and ordering what I needed, got the wrong items 2x, gave 3 stars because 1 employee did try to help with one issue even though it never got resolved. Won't be back
Little wait to check out but the doctor was wonderful and so was the sales lady!! I'll def be back! The price is cheaper to do the program than to go through my insurance!
#1 RED FLAG-- There wasn't any place to wash my hands at when they gave me my new pair of contacts to put in. They'd taken me out of the exam room already. Then, after putting new prescription contacts in, I had to flag down someone to tell them, i could not see at all with them. There was NO WAY I could drive home safely. They changed the prescription but my vision was not checked with the new pair in. I tried wearing them at home a few times but they didnt feel right & I couldnt see. Thankfully, I had an old pair of glasses to wear. I went & got another vision test at a different place & can now see perfectly! The difference in the prescription from America's Best was completely different than what my actual prescription is. So just beware. I used my vision benefits at Americas Best so I had to pay out of pocket unfortunately for my 2nd exam.
