Today January 14, 2026, I received a voicemail from Prisma Eye institution, requesting that I return a call. Although I am not a patient of your practice, I promptly called back within five minutes. I spoke with an older female staff member, whom I provided with my name, date of birth, and address to confirm my identity. She initially verified my information, but then abruptly informed me that I did not receive any call or voicemail from their office.
Despite my efforts to clarify and understand the situation, she became very rude and dismissive and ultimately hung up. I found her attitude and manner of communication to be unprofessional and upsetting.
I am disappointed by this interaction, especially considering I was only trying to clarify the situation, and had no intention of causing any disruption. I hope that you will look into this matter, and ensure that your staff remains respectful and courteous with all individuals, regardless of whether they are current patient or not.
Dr Douglas leder was fantastic! He listened to every concern and was very effective!! He took the time to talk to me and help with my concerns. It was a pleasure working with him and I will be coming back here for any eye related issues. Thanks again !
The gentleman that works in the eyeglass center has the absolute best customer service. He is always so helpful I had a problem with my glasses and he was so quick to resolve the problem. If you ever need new glasses go see him he is the best!
I had a piece of metal in my eye. I was nervous when I arrived but Dr. Leder removed it efficiently and without pain. The whole crew in the office was really nice. Cost was 5x less than the E.R visit. I was pleased with the service and would highly recommend them.
Save yourself time and do not go here. There are bad apples who work at the front desk and as technicians who make the whole experience pretty terrible. I had a technician laugh at me for saying that a stye and a chalazion are two different things although they are and I'm not the one who went to school for this. Robin at the front desk actually hung up on me the other day. I believe they act this way because there really is no other prisma eye place near by, but a little bit of customer service would be appreciated.
I hope there are other better doctors at this practice but Dr. Leder told me to go to Jervey Eye because they were not capable of helping me after I had 3 different appointments where they prescribed me the same medicine my PCP prescribed me. So listen to them and go to a different practice if you have a real eye problem they do not have doctors who are up to date in medicine. You will injury yourself further going here.
I am someone who loves going to the doctor (I know that's strange) but I've never had such a horrible experience like this one.
Called for KIP DOLPHIN, MD inquiring about coming from NY if I am told I need Cataract surgery, TWICE, I'm one time I even spoke to the manager who happened to picked up the phone, and Michael was never returned so that to me means incompetency, in efficiency, unprofessionalism, The department not supervised or it's certainly not supervised the way any clinic or hospital or doctors office should be. A TOTAL DISASTER, not on me, but on them. How can one TRUST them with our EYES To reading all these decorative reviews???
One cannot. Also my calls were several months ago. Glad I didn't make the trip, that's for sure! SO MANY HORRIBLE REVIEWS---I have never seen so many horrible reviews for any doctors office. This would have to be a place that a doctor would join if he was declined all other positions!!! One would think one would improve the office and have a complete turnover and staff when seeing all of these justified, credible bad reviews but even that wasn't taken care of! Who the hell is running this joint?!
Seems everybody there should be replaced and instantly fired.
We were taken back immediately when we arrived. My brother has cerebal palsy and they were so kind and understanding. They talked directly to him and not over him, as some tend to do. This whole staff is really kind and understanding. I would recommend them to anyone. I don't know how their treatment is, as my brother could not have anything done, but I do know they are thorough in the testing they did.
If I could give negative stars I would. I ended up in the ER due to my pupils being two different sizes, headache and slight vision loss. ER doctor knew right away what I had going on and talked to the on call for this office. They had me come in at 8am that Friday morning and I saw Charles J Woody. He didn't dilate my eyes, he took a quick look and tells me it's just irritated by contacts. Sending me on my way with Saline drops. I spent the weekend in unimaginable pain because Ophthalmology is closed weekends. By the time I got a second opinion Monday morning my eye was severely inflamed with anterior uveitis which is what the ER doctor said I had. This office should've prescribed me steroid drops when I saw them. Not only did he misdiagnose me (it was confirmed contacts couldn't have caused this) I may have permanent vision loss due to this office misdiagnosing me and not starting treatment sooner. If you value your vision don't go here.
