Due to family history, my husband was referred to Dr. Johnson prior to routine cataract surgery. Two days prior to consultation he experienced what we soon learned was detached retina. Dr. Johnson and his assistants have been wonderful through entire process. Prompt attention to potential catastrophic experience was averted by Retinal Consultants and Bon Secours Downtown OR. My husband and I both are retired from healthcare. I worked in physician's office so I know coordination it took and day to day juggling to basically survive. Everyone from check in to check out was professional and polite, even on busiest of days. Patient flow is great, waiting is minimal but necessary for medication (drops) optimization.

I came in for a simple evaluation, the Doc saw something's worrisome and, to my surprise, was able to address the issue during that same visit by laser treatment as he was concerned about retina detachment which, while not a guaranteed, was a definite possibility.
