Dr sutherland made my first visit like i had known her for years. She is very thorough and fully explains what is going on with your vision and how to protect it going forward. She will be my go to as long as i like in the area.

I brought my son to Dr. Southerlin after he had a bad experience at a popular chain optical store. I was so impressed, I later made an appointment for myself. The experience here is completely and wonderfully different from today's standard "assembly line" approach to doctor visits. You don't get passed around by technicians while waiting to see an optometrist; you actually see the optometrist. There's no pushiness or upselling. You get to talk about your concerns and ask questions. She respects your time, she knows her stuff, and you feel that she genuinely cares and wants you to have the best vision possible.

Dr. Southerlin is the best! Her and Erin make a great team. They are so friendly and professional. Dr. Southerlin has always been so thorough and great with my eye exams. I feel comfortable asking questions when needed. They make it easy!

Dr. Southerlin is an excellent, old school optometrist. She takes her time with patients. She's super friendly and excellent at her trade.

I'd give 6 stars if I could. Dr. Southerlin and Erin couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. I'd never been to an optometrist, and chose this practice based solely on the reviews. Well, the reviews were spot on. I was warmly greeted and then thoroughly evaluated. I wasn't pressured to buy anything. The consultation was thorough and informative, and EASY! My family will now consider ourselves exclusive patients of Southerlin Family Eye Care.

ME: Southern Eye I have an issue with my eye. SE: Ok use gel in your eye. Return in a week. 3 days later my eye is bleeding. Went to my PC who said STOP the gel. Now SE wants $25 for missed follow-up. REALLY? THANKS FOR NOT HELPING ME!

Amazing experience! Dr. Southerlin is very caring and professional - I get such anxiety about anyone touching my eyes and she was super sweet and gentle with me. Also, the environment is quite comfortable and personal - this is definitely not your eye doctor factory like some experiences. I'd absolutely recommend!

First visit today to Southerlin Family Eye Care after 20 years with another provider. I was absolutely blown away! Entire staff was extremely friendly, professional and helpful. I got my new contacts fitted quickly and Dr. Southerlin was very eager to discuss and answer questions. After I paid and left, I received a phone call that they had explored further with my insurance and found a possibility to file for me that I had missed. They then offered to refund my payment and file for me. Maybe the best customer service I've ever experienced. Highly recommended!
