Walmart Vision & Glasses

Making the appointment at the first of the year was easy. The optometrist changed the type of contact I use but didn't give me a sample, stating they had to be ordered as they were special -astigmatism multifocal. I waited 6 weeks for a phone call to come in and try on the samples. Mind you, my old Rx had expired and I was using my last pair. When he suggested I used a specific type of cleaner, I said I already was using it. He very snippingly replied, "if they're one a day contacts, why are you cleaning them?" For the same reason I'm here: I'm out of contacts. I called & spoke with someone on the sales side & she took the time to look up my Rx. She said no one ever ordered the samples, but that she had a suggestion. She gave me one contact for astigmatism and one regular stating I'd probably need to continue using reading glasses. I waited until the next day to try them. MIRACULOUSLY I don't need multifocal contacts at all OR my reading glasses. I don't know what to say other than double check your info with someone else. After I get these, I won't be returning to this optometrist. But the eye center employees next door are great. The eye center gets 4 stars, the optometrist gets none.

I went in to get new lenses for my glasses. The guy said they don't pop out lenses in order to tell me what frames I could get. I moved here from out of state, and they never popped out my lenses to tell me what frames fit my glasses. I don't think he is knowledgeable at all. He did not seem to know what frames fit my glasses just by looking at them. The walmart vision, in the state I moved here from, was able to tell me right away and give me all my options.

Buyer beware. I went in and had an eye exam done next door. Went back over to the vision center to order my glasses. I specifically told the woman that I needed Varilux x lenses. Questioned her two or three times about being able to order those specific lenses. She said absolutely they could get me those lenses. Placed my order spent over $600 waited 2 weeks and got my glasses in. Picked them up and knew immediately that they were not what I requested. Tried them out for a few days and couldn't wear them. I took them back and they still insisted they were Varilux x lenses. When I questioned them they just said they would give me a refund. Glad I got a refund but wasted 2 weeks for nothing.

Scheduled an appointment for a vision exam a week ago. Informed the scheduler I have VSP vision, they assure me that it's okay. I go to my appointment this week, they don't take VSP and quote me out of network(OON) benefits. I'm poor so if you don't take my insurance, I don't go to your place, but you could have had the decency to just tell me you don't take that insurance instead of wasting my time, leaving me blind for another week. Do not recommend, if they'll do this to me, they'll do this and worse to other people.

Not what I expected. The room where you do your eye exam was not clean the table had not been wiped down was very dusty. The dr not what I was expected. But the eye center was great

Under NO circumstances would I recommend eye exams at this Walmart. The Dr. performed an unnecessary procedure that my insurance refused to pay. Then asked me to make an additional appointment to get the glaucoma exam which only takes a couple of minutes. Also charts used the same line so could read because you already knew what each letter was. All things considered I wouldn't go back if they paid me instead. The glasses I received and the service there was outstanding.

The Dr in the eye clinic is amazing and so funny!! Both the eye clinic and the vision center are willing to go the extra mile to make sure you're happy and they are all so kind! Also if you are a diabetic they will accept Medicaid!!!!!

friendly and knowledgeable staff - answered all questions i asked and were very helpful. plus affordable, especially for someone who doesn't have insurance coverage and has to pay out of pocket like I did.
