I have never experienced such dismissiveness and lack of professionalism from a medical practice. I recently moved to the area and made an appointment with Dr. Piehota because of a recurrence of an infection after failed medical and surgical management. I was given a regimen to attempt to prevent infections and was told to call back if I had a flare. I presented with another infection and was given a round of antibiotics and a referral to another practice. There was some difficulty getting the referral through to the other practice, I'm not sure if that was due to issues on the sending or receiving end. Either way, it was about 2.5 months until the first appointment (which seems fairly standard for a specialist). After the round of antibiotics, my symptoms were unchanged. I called the office to ask for additional intervention due to continued pain and inflammation. I received a response that I was referred and that I needed to take this up with the new physician. It is completely unacceptable to initiate treatment of an infection without follow up or assurance of effectiveness and then proceed to leave a patient without care for a period of over 2 months. I expressed this and was then provided with a prescription for the one class of medications that I am allergic to, and a suggestion to call yet another provider to see if I could be seen sooner. This demonstrates a complete lack of attention and care. I called back to ask for a formal referral to the other office and to be prescribed a different antibiotic. I was asked "what do you need this time." I don't believe that advocating for treatment should be met with such rude and uncaring responses. Calling around to multiple offices, having to follow up for referrals, and being disregarded has been extremely frustrating as someone who has been dealing with this issue for multiple years. If you don't feel comfortable treating a certain condition, it should not be advertised and you should not accept the patient. If he was so eager not to have me as a patient, he should have placed the referral at the initial appointment. I was hoping to come back to this office for regular, annual appointments, but I can definitively and confidently say that I hope that I never have to interact with this office ever again. If you are seeking care for eyelid related issues, I encourage you to look elsewhere.

Yes I went to my previous eye doctor and she explained everything to me and recommended a different office and I had to cancel due to this being a work comp case and I was told that I had to come here!! And I must say i wish I had a choice because I wouldn't recommended Thomas to anyone sorry I told him of my issues and the same test he conducted was the same time I had done at my doctor that I choose. And Thomas going to say in so many words I'm krazy!!! That was insulting to me why can't I see and my vision is horrible I'm not a claim I'm a patient sorry that i got hurt and lets be clear your office wasn't my choice okay.. I truly believe I need to pay out of pocket so I don't have to deal with unprofessional doctors like you. I work with Chemicals objects etc. Maybe if you were forcus on me and not my caseworker . And I called today and the tech was no help so no I don't recommend this office even if I wasn't hurt.

The Office staff shown a welcoming smile! my appt time/wait was abruptly seen Also Dr Thompson has a positive attitude to assure if any issues he would fix! I had comfortable vibe will continue visiting this Eye Specialist sincerely,Ms. Tracy

I was very pleased with Dr Thompson. He was very through and spent time explaining his diagnosis of my eye issues. He made recommendations that allowed me make my own decisions. Would highly recommend

It's always a pleasure to see Dr. Thompson and his staff. Even though they are very busy in there I feel they know my situation and I appreciate the direct and honest approach. They are very efficient but I never feel rushed out. I've been going there for years now and will continue to do so. I always leave feeling cared for.

The practice is efficient and very welcoming. Dr. Piehoda is outstanding and extremely sensitive to the situation. He provided all the information necessary for treatment and healing.

We have been seeing Dr Thompson for yrs. He is a specialist. And takes his time explaining your eye symptoms be up front if your having. Issues. I highly recommend Him

Dr Thompson and office staff are so pleasant and attentive in providing eye care services. I am completely satisfied with the eye care and follow up I have received over the years from Dr. Thompson.
