Everyone is so nice, patient and knowledgeable there. Definitely recommend them as your eye care specialist. They will be mines from now on. This is my second year visiting them.

Dr Bernadette Donaldson is very professional and kind. They help me find the best frames for my face and help me manage my glaucoma. I am so glad they are my eye Doctors!

(about this place over the past couple years) DO NOT TAKE YOUR KID HERE! If you have kids I suggest taking them somewhere else. For reasons I had to go to this place the past two years.. felt iffy but no choice. Told them my oldest wasn't able to tell you his letter correctly just yet, but proceeds to do letters with him. Then they told me needed glasses. I didn't force him to wear the glasses that year and last year they said the same thing said he needed glasses but little stronger but he is able to read letters very well now.... Felt iffy still and didn't force him to wear the glasses.... Just today after going to another eye Dr in greenwood found out he doesn't need glasses at all! Would not trust this place at all!

my experience from a year ago. was in short. not good. i will be honest and fair. i had scheduled an appointment to get a new script. with my vision insurance the appointment should have been nothing but $15(copay exam fee), not the $300+ (it may have been $270) bill that i recieved. for whatever reason, they could not get a proper script for my right eye. i honestly believe it was because i was tired. and they werent listening to me fully. but they had me do all these tests and when i questioned the bill. they explained that it wasnt an optometry exam, but a medical exam. they changed the nature of the visit without consulting me of that. claimed (whether by accident or clerical error) that my insurance did not cover the extra tests. i asked to see an itemized bill, the lady at the counter at first said that she couldnt provide one until i paid. i countered with thats not possibly true, and she did eventually provide one, but then added on another charge (which may or may not be valid). they also insisted that i see my PCM and get a health evaluation and so on (insisting on a head injury or possible stroke). i declined the bill. and refused their care because i did not believe they were right. i AM barred from their practice because i refused to pay them the ~$300 bill. that is their right as a business. They did not treat me with the friendly demeanor at this point, and i did not expect them to. but they still maintained their professional composure, albeit with an understandable tone of anger/frustration. there was no yelling, threats, or unpleasant behavior by any of the staff. I also did not raise my voice or display any aggressive behavior towards the staff. i did my best to be polite in return and left the store without any incident. i spoke with my insurance company on both the medical and vision side. the medical side refused their claims. the first one was fully denied and an identical copy of the bill they presented to me. they attempted to file a second claim, but this time the amounts were completely different. as it showed that my insurance actually covered some of the tests they performed. this claim was also denied by my insurance. i am not sure if my vision insurance paid them for the exam. im not an insurance specialist, but this did irk me a bit. i later went to an optometry office in simpsonville and was able to get a script for my right eye with no fuss. the astigmatism in my right eye is just a bit extreme. i compared the script i got from the second opinion to the one i recieved from here. the left eye was almost the same, i think it was the same actually. the right eye was very different. i was able to get the same script for the right eye after doing the process twice to verify it at the second opinion office. i wish them and their customers the best.
