Yesterday was my second time being seen here. My first was about a year ago and it went pretty smoothly. I decided to return based off my first experience. However, yesterday was a different experience. The check in process was smooth and seeing the doctor went very well, until I got to the last portion, the desks in the room with all the glasses. It was very obvious the girl who was helping me gets commission. I chose to update my prescription with my current frames. Her whole demeanor changed when she sucked her teeth and said it would take two to two and a half weeks to get my frames back. She then asked if I was doing the nonglare and scratch resistant again. I asked how much and when she told me the cost, I told her to remove it, then her demeanor got worse. She told me my total was $180 after insurance. When I asked her why, she said my visit was $29! I told her I have two insurance companies that say differently. She must have keyed something in wrong because my total went from $180 to $40. Something is not right. After reading the other reviews I noticed this is a common occurrence. Maybe don't put so much pressure on these employees for commissions. It is ruining your reputation. I would have chosen a 5 star review but your girls ruined that. Not to mention when I walked into that room the other two ladies were laughing about their manager calling them the other person's manager jokingly. Not a good look for you all. You might want to monitor those ladies in that room a little more. I am looking into other places to continue my business with. This was a very unprofessional experience I had here.

I would not recommend this place, I believe everyone should know upfront what your cost will be, they blindside you after you have been seen. They even had the nerve to tell me they won't allow me to leave until I paid the whole balance, which had I known what it was ahead of time I could have prepared. Are they now into taking hostages? They said they can't tell you what you're fitting fees are until after you see the dr, they assured me I was told up front of other charged, and I proved to them I was not. I don't like dishonesty in any way.

I don't know if he was in a hurry or if he just didn't care, but Dr Devivo rushed the entire process. I went in to get my contacts renewed, and he essentially told me I was blind in my left eye and there was no way to correct it. I had just taken my contacts out before the exam and showed them to him and I was corrected to 20/30 with my lenses. Will try another Dr there but that dude needs to care more and slow down. The staff other than him were very helpful.

I ordered two pairs of glasses and only received one pair. When confronted about the second pair they claimed I picked them up when I had not. Unfair to charge me and my insurance to not receive my order. He recommended shots for diabetes when the problem with my eyes was not sugar but rather than being affected by my lupus.

The staff here was very nice and polite despite me having to call in 3-4 times after my glasses was order and sent to their office I was told twice that my glasses would be delivered to my address and I had to call in again for someone to finally tell me that I would need to come get them. So I could have had my glasses days ago if staff told me the right information.

It was a nice experience. I think the staff could be a little bit more friendlier rather than being treated like a number. I would still recommend them. They work with your insurance and they stick to their schedule.

Saw Dr McDuffey and she was so thorough and very informative. I've never had an eye doctor spend so much time showing me the pictures of my eyes and explain what she was seeing. She won a returning patient today.

I just came from MyEyeDr. In Manning,SC. Although I live in Sumter, I drove the 30 minutes to get an eye exam on the recommendation of my friend. I'm so glad I went! The Optometrist that did my exam was Dr. Devivo. He was very kind and professional. He obviously knew what he was doing. He answered all of my questions and was very polite. All of the staff were very nice also. The person that helped me with my glasses was named Jennifer. She was so nice also! She and the rest of the staff made me feel welcome! My appointment was at 5:00pm. They close at 6:00pm but my appointment ran over by 28 minutes but no one complained! I definitely will be going back there next year for my eye exam!
