I was very clear when making my appointment my first appointment with this practice that I did not want to see an optometrist based on my past issues with my eye and the autoimmune diseases that they are currently evaluating me for I have been seeing an ophthalmologist on and off for the last Five years and no what I needed and the type of doctor that I am supposed to treat with looking for connection in the eye with disease, I may not have even noticed that she was the wrong type of doctor for my knee, but her ego and her unprofessionalism and lack of patient care Caused me to pull her business card to write a review. On my way out of the office. It was so poor that I actually advised her during the exam that I would not be coming back. She was running more than an hour behind from my appointment time, and we were into the last hour of the office Closing so perhaps she was just rushing me to catch up with her workflow however she refused to allow me to explain the conditions that brought me into the office shush me when I try to tell her stating that talking would interfere with the exam I am 55 years old in my experience when a doctor walks into a room they introduced themselves and they follow it up with asking what brought you into the office Dr. Adams introduced herself and went right to work in the machine without asking me anything so naturally I was trying to explain to her what my symptoms were and what I was experiencing over the past few years and that's when she hushed me and said that talking causes the eye to move, so I waited until the end of the exam where she told me I had 2020 vision which I do not And then proceeded to say that she doesn't see anything wrong with the eye at that point I informed her you didn't see the chalazion or the cut on my eyelid that has been there for more than two years now that continues to get exasperated whenever I'm walking in bright UV light, including indoors, I have light sensitivity. In fact this was the first exam I ever had where the light of the exam kept hurting my eye because of improper angling regardless the entire exam was uncomfortable, and I felt the doctors ego well more present in the exam than her patient care in fact, the first two women that dilated my eyes and took my medical information also locked in customer care I have never had drops put in my eye or a pressure test done without somebody explaining what they were about to do prior to doing it again being my first visit into the office you don't know if I've had this done before And what to expect and it was the first time that I had three drops put in my eye, normally it was too, so when I got this numbing sensation, I was quite thrown back. The personalities were both lacking. My only good experience were the two people at the front desk and the checkout counter that both greeted and spoke to me with a smile in their voice and on their face, I will not be back and now I am livid that I didn't even see the doctor that I was requesting I still don't have the answers that I went for it was 17 miles from door-to-door for this visit. In My 250 appointment was not even addressed until well after 4 PM When I left is when I realize that the card had the wrong doctor so I called back and asked for the office manager who I was told left at 4 PM. I went ahead and I called the Murrells Inlet location since this was in Carolina Forest Myrtle Beach area and I was able to get Shelby the manager on duty at the Murrells Inlet office and I began to explain to her what happened She said she was able to find my information. I advised her I was at the bank and that I was next on the long line that's how long I had held between the two offices. It Shelby this other manager, proceeded to have somebody walk into her office and started having a full-fledged conversation without putting me on hold while I was speaking And I was so upset. I just hung up never again.

They won't even answer their phones. Very frustrating when you are a diabetic trying to take care of yourself.
