Dr. Dean has agreed to work with us on the HSA and is looking for a new system that can properly accept debit cards, especially for those with HSA cards. They are also working on crediting back the surcharge from previous charges. Original Review: Much like a previous review, we have had continuous issues with billing and insurance. They are illegally charging surcharges on HSA debit cards. When I tried to pay cash, I was told they don't give change back. The next time I tried to pay cash, the front desk found a way to give me change from their own pocket, which I found odd. They owe me money back for the illegal charges that I was not told about until after I was charged. The vision therapist has been great with my son, but the administrative and billing has definitely left us frustrated.

I would like to retract my earlier review of Grand Strand Vision, Dr Mark Dean. There was confusion due to a misunderstanding which lead to frustration. Dr Dean and his staff, worked with us to reach a mutual agreement satisfactory to all. We thank Dr Dean for graciously resolving this matter in good faith. He demonstrated good character, which we appreciate. I would like to sum this up by saying, "Grand Strand Vision " should be considered if you have future eye care needs. (RETRACTED) Beware! They will charge you and you pay for what they say are non-covered codes. And you are charged a credit card fee with no prior notice. They take it upon themselves to assume a procedure is not covered. They don't submit non covered cost to the carriers to let the carrier make that determination. And there's this, their software was outdated and couldn't submit all codes. Magically in one day it was updated. Also, don't get caught in the trap that you need 10 months of theapy and must pay a large sum of money up front.

Quite disappointing. Kind people. Paid them to make my eyes worse. I now have a vertical misalignment and my nose is in my field of vision. It would have been much better for me if they were expert enough to refer me to someone who specialized in the problem I had.

Great job with my son. Fantastic vision service. Highly recommend!!
