Dr. Weshefsky: My daughter was looking forward to her appointment last week. Less than 30 minutes prior to our departure to your office, my daughter received a phone call from your office stating our insurance was inactive. I contacted the insurance company only to find this was not the case prior to leaving. Upon our arrival, of course 15 minutes late, due to your Staff telling my daughter on the phone she would have to pay the full consultation amount, they refused her entry. I explained it was not her fault that we were confirming our insurance prior to the appointment. Anyway, upon calling the office subsequent to our departure, we were hung up on. Another call was to someone else in the office, but in explaining the situation, he stated he was busy and would be hanging up, and did. Calling the insurance again, I received a referral to a nearby optometrist who took the time to confirm our insurance, and make an appointment. In all my years at any medical profession, your staff was extremely rude and their unprofessional attitude probably does not represent you as a professional, but they in fact do represent your business, unfortunately. I have never been compelled to write a bad review anytime, but this experience was completely unprofessional. We are moving on but hopefully in writing this review, you will correct the situation for future patients. As a professional and business owner, these individuals would have been swiftly terminated. After all, the bottom line is your loss of revenue. Not only did you lose three patients, I could never give your business a positive review due to your office staff and their lack of professionalism.

Very knowledgable doctor. Mentor to many optometrist who want to learn about orthokeratology! I would recommend Dr Weshefsky to to those who are serious about myopia control in children!! Great doctor with lots of knowledge!
