Walmart Vision & Glasses

My first experience going to this place was amazing, they were quick to set up an appointment and really polite during my eye exam. There wasn't a wait at all. Definitely would recommend

Scam, scam, scam.... Stay away from this place. I had an eye exam 8 months ago. I purchased contacts from this place and did not have any issues because I told them to not correct for a barely noticeable astigmatism. No complaints there. I went to get new glasses but the doctor wrote the prescription for the astigmatism correction and I requested to not have that because it has never worked for me( dizziness, feeling nauseous, etc,) the Walmart vision people told me to go ahead and pay for the glasses and if I have any issues that I have 60 days to get the change. Well, I can't wear these $400 glasses, so I called the Walmart side and they told me to call next door( human eyes) Dr Bittners office. I called and they said I need to pay for another examination because it's been 8 months. Mind you a prescription is good for 1-2 years. I can literally keep getting new contacts and glasses made within that time frame. Why would I pay for a new exam if it hasn't even been 9 months and why did Walmart sell me glasses with a promise of 60 days replacement if I didn't like the lenses? I was told someone would call me the next day to get this straight, yet I have never been called back. I'm looking at a wasted eye exam expense and brand glasses($400) that I can't even wear. I'm going to dig into who issues business licenses for these snake oil liars.

I called to get help getting my daughter new frames and the lady on the phone was not nice and kept telling me I needed to go to a different Walmart that they were too busy to help me. I live practically next door to this location and should not have to drive 20 minutes to a different location because they simply didn't want to help.

The receptionist was rude and only wanted to leave. I went to pay for my contacts, but my payment didn't work because I forgot I needed to use my new debit card. She refused to try it again and told me to come back tomorrow. I take part of this back, the actual lady in the white coat, the optician was so helpful and deserves a raise, the regular 9-5 lady that only cares about leaving & not the customer can still kick rocks!

I called today 2/10 to schedule an appointment for my 6 year old son and was shocked that they were able to get him seen in just a few hours. This was his first eye exam and all 3 ladies that helped him through it were fantastic. They explained everything to him and were understanding that he was a little nervous. They were extremely patient with us and didn't seem to mind at all that I had to bring my toddler along with us. (I don't have many childcare options in the area and this has been an issue at other vision Dr.s) Our appointment was at 2:00 PM and we were out picking out glasses by 2:20. I cannot recommend these ladies enough! My whole family wears glasses and we will absolutely all be switching to this office.

They scratched my lenses that I had kept scratched free and pristine for three years. A direct quote from one of the employees is the lenses are still in good shape, and I still had to buy the frames there anyway

On vacation and the nose piece came off my glasses. I walked in and Keenya was very friendly and quickly helped me. If you wear glasses you know how miserable it is to lose a nose piece. She made my vacation!!

I had several problems with my prescription eyeglasses that were not the fault of Walmart Vision, and they were extremely patient and accommodating during my several visits trying to correct the problem. All three women I dealt with were helpful and understanding. (Twice I had gotten the wrong prescription from my own eye doctor, not affiliated with Walmart.) Finally my prescription is correct and my glasses are comfortable. They have a good selection of frames too at very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend Walmart Vision on Seaboard in Myrtle Beach. Outstanding customer service.
