I am highly satisfied with the level of care that we received. Not many doctors have a great bedside manner but Dr. Steigerwald was very patient and explained my son's needs thoroughly. He listened to my concerns and took them into consideration when planning my son's care. He spent quite a while with us which took me surprise. The entire staff was wonderful. My son is so excited about his cool new glasses. I highly recommend Southern Eye Associates.

Dr. Andrew Hack is awesome! I had cross linking surgery on Feb 27th. He was very friendly, informative and kept me informed throughout the entire procedure. I would like to thank you for the amazing operation you performed on my eye! His assistance was awesome too!

Kudos to Dr. Melissa Ixcamey! My mom has been her patient for some time now, and Dr. Ixcamey performed her surgeries to repair a detached retina. I accompanied my mom to her surgeries and several follow-up appointments, and throughout the entire process, Dr. Ixcamey has been incredibly kind and compassionate. You can truly tell how much she cares about her patients. My mom's most recent surgery took place on the Friday right before a major snowstorm. Because my mom lives with my grandparents, who are both in their 90s, I was worried about them having to drive in bad weather to get her to the required follow-up appointment the next day. I live a good distance away and wasn't able to help. Dr. Ixcamey went above and beyond by making an exception to meet with us that same evening at 8:00 p.m. (after the office was already closed) to complete the follow-up appointment. She even offered to drive to the pharmacy herself in the snow the next day to pick up my mom's prescription eye drops and deliver them to ensure she had what she needed. This level of care and dedication is truly unmatched. It's incredibly comforting to know my mom is receiving such exceptional care.

The entire staff are very friendly and engaging. Assistants are the perfect combination of personable and professional. Dr. Steigerwald is thorough and great at asking if I have any questions or concerns. He takes his time and answers any and all questions. Excellent choice when seeking eye care.

Very professional and really care about you. Go beyond of making you comfortable on any procedures. I would recommend to anyone that wants friendly and professional service this is the place to take of all your eye needs.

Great office. Simpsonville location is new and beautiful. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. They take most insurances and you know upfront what your out of pocket will be.

I've been going thru So. EYE Associates for about 4 years now. I think I've seen most of the ophthalmologists on staff. Dr. Hack is amazing. Dr. Goodwin picked up from there because I needed monthly injections and when he was called to serve in a special mission, I switched to Dr. Ixcamey. They are all amazing and the staff is always friendly. Thank you for excellent care you've given me over the years.
