If I could give 100 stars, I absolutely would!
We brought our son in for his eye exam -- he's on the autism spectrum, and medical visits haven't always been easy. But Dr. Allison and the entire team at Jones Family Eyecare went above and beyond. They treated Logan with genuine kindness and respect, taking the time to ease his anxiety and make him feel comfortable every step of the way.
We left feeling deeply grateful and incredibly impressed. It's rare to find a clinic that combines professionalism with such compassion. Thank you to everyone at Jones Family Eyecare -- you're truly awesome!
I have been wearing glasses almost my whole life. This is one of the best places I have been. My place before this was Pearle to give you an example since Pearle has a separate independent Eye Doctor. It always felt like they handed you off like a football. If Pearle fumbled the ball it was their fault. Jones Family Eyecare is a total team and I like being treated like that through the whole process. They also got my new glasses to me super quick where before it would take over 2 weeks (my lens require a little more attention is why). I LOVE MY NEW GLASSES and Emily from Jones Family Eyecare gets 5-stars alone. I paid an extra $50 for my glasses through Jones because of my VSP offers more discounts with Pearle, but the customer service I got from Jones Family Eyecare though is PRICELESS!!!!!
So thankful for this place. I took my two year old daughter here for her first eye exam after noticing some vision issues. They put a nervous mom at ease with the doctor's thorough--yet easy to understand--explanation of the issues, as well as the great help of the staff fitting/ordering glasses for my daughter. I had nothing but a positive experience due to great customer service from an all around caring, friendly staff.
I never thought I would have to write a horrible review about this place, but after how I was treated yesterday, I will never go back and will never recommend this place to anyone. I wanted to give no stars, but google made me in order to post this. My family has went here for nearly 10 years and have loved Alison, but yesterday I got to experience David and I must say, his manner and professionalism was terrible. If this place would be just Alison, I would consider staying, but I'm going to cut my ties and get my eye care elsewhere. My daughter had lost her contacts and we were seeing Dr. Alison in 2 days for our annual eye appointment. She was home from college and checked out of her dorm so unable to get another pair. I asked to get some trial pairs just to hold her over until our Thursday appointment. I was looked in the face by David and told he would not authorize it. I had asked him to explain why since we were coming in to see his wife in 2 days. He told me no and then looked at his front desk staff and told them to explain to me why and then walked into an exam room. The front staff desk couldn't of course explain why that in just 2 short days they wouldn't provide a trial pair, but proceeded to tell me that contacts are a privilege not a necessity. Excuse me, seeing is not a necessity? Also, she could just wear her glasses until then which mind you are 4 years old and her vision was not the best in them as her primary source is her contacts since those prescriptions are changed yearly. I'm not asking for pain medication, I was asking for 2 pair of trial lenses that would get us through a few days until I came to your office to spend hundreds of dollars on exams, eyeglasses, and contacts. The rudeness of David was pathetic, not even to take the time to explain, but pawn it off to his front desk staff. I work in health care and I would never treat anyone the way I was treated. Not even to take the time to offer an explanation, but just walk away. I understand her contacts were past a year, but because of your scheduling, I wasn't able to get in until the first part of December. We were not talking months before her exam, we are talking a few days. A few days to ensure she sees appropriately. Due to his complete lack of compassion or empathy to my situation, I will never go back to Jones Eye Care and I will inform anyone that ever asks for a recommendation my story. There are many choices to choose from and because it was convenient and the fact that Alison was so great, we kept going back, but her husband ruined it yesterday by not even taking the time to listen. Treating me like some homeless person on the street. I was appalled and hope someday he's put in the same predicament and he gets the same response. Maybe then he will realize just a little compassion and understanding goes a far way. Thank you Alison for your care over the years.
Dr. Allison and Dr. David have been wonderful caring for our family's eye care needs! With five young kids, it is often times a struggle to get appointments completed without total chaos, but the friendliness, patience, and knowledge of both eye doctors has made doing to the eye doctor a FUN adventure! The service is wonderful throughout the whole appointment-being greeted by the amazing receptionist, through the tests/screenings, and on to picking out glasses. If you need an eye doctor, head to Jones Family Eyecare!
Worst place ever, I'm sure I paid over $400 for eyeglasses that I can't even wear. I bought a pair of Vera Bradley glasses from them. I got the progressive bifocal with transition lenses. I couldn't get used to the progressive lens so they order the in line bifocal which looked hideous and I couldn't even make it out of the parking lot with those lenses. I asked for the bifocal to be taken out completely and to keep the transition. What I ended up with was plain lenses... no bifocal (fine) but no transition. And they also left out the anti glare for night driving. I had to pay $100 for their mistake. And still did not get the lenses wanted and need. I live in a rural community and have severe health issues. So I have to drive over 40 miles to see specialists. I now suffer from migraines if I have to drive on a sunny day or at night. I'm not even sure my prescription is correct. I am going back to my old optometrist. What a waste of money and time. If I could give them negative stars I would. I don't recommend this place. I went for convenience and got the worst service EVER! Take your business elsewhere.
Our whole family became patients at Jones Family Eyecare this year! The clinic and staff were clean, professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.
Awesome place- two locations. Small family feel. The staff over there is wonderful. They also provided medical optometry first people with glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration or people with diabetes! Wouldn't go anywhere else!
