McMillian Eyecare, now part of MyEyeDr.

I just had a bad experience with McMillian. I bought new frames less than a year ago which keep breaking. They no longer sell the frames and told me that since my frames were already replaced once the warranty no longer applies. I can't help the fact that the frames I was sold are junk ( even though they were very expensive). I will be looking for another eye care provider.

Charity at the front desk is awesome and very helpful. The whole staff had smiling faces and it was a great atmosphere to be in.

I love this place and have been coming here for several years and always get my glasses here!!

Dr McMillian seems to rush me through. He doesn't seem to be very patient. He told me I had significant cataracts which affects my prescription. He acted very irritated with me when I asked him about the severity of my cataracts. I could not see out of the TWO sets of glasses they originally made for me. So he rechecked my eyes and told me that he adjusted the prescription more similar to my previous prescription. He told me if the THIRD prescription didn't work then I would have to have cataract surgery. Well, the THIRD prescription finally worked. I've never had to have THREE prescriptions made just to be able to see right. Something is definitely wrong with the situation. All of the staff were very nice.

So my husband had a piece of metal in his eye. I called and they were able to get him in to remove it. That part was great other than the lady on the phone that I spoke with was not very friendly. I let it slide. My husband went in for his visit and he said thr Dr was great. Kept him informed on what was going on. Was very professional. He said thr office staff was rude. He went back for a follow up 2 days later and the office staff was rude to him then as well. Charged him for a full office visit on a follow up from.a procedure. I work with insurance all day everyday and have never heard of insurance paying for a follow up procedure or an office making a patient pay the copay on a follow up..... then they wanted him back Friday for another follow up. I'm sorry but not everyone has that kind of money especially during thr holidays. My husband told thr DR to send his meds to the pharmacy close to our house. We'll they made a mistake. I called the office to find out why and the lady on thr phone flat out called my husband a lier. Told me it wasn't her problem it was called in to the wrong pharmacy and If it was that big of a deal, I could call our pharmacy and have them get it from the one they sent it to bc her staff didn't have the time to play on the phone. NEVER will either of us do business with this establishment again..... If she hates people so much maybe she should just stay home.

Dr James and his staff are so kind and thorough, I just can't say enough good things about them and the whole experience! I can see things that I haven't seen in years!!!! A big thank you to everyone there that helped me!!!

The office staff was as friendly and greatest could be but when the doctor came in the room he didn't even acknowledge my mother who said hello and never even said hi after she thanked them for fitting me in never said a thing and then implied since I was on Social Security and had reconstructive surgery that I must be taking some other drugs then the Motrin and Tylenol that I listed on my chart. He even went so far as to ask me why I was on disability and then asked again if there's any medication that I'm keeping secret or not telling him I expressed to him that it felt like there were multiple red hot needles sticking in my eye no matter what I did and that I haven't been able to sleep in 2 days because of the pain and he didn't even offer me temporary numbing drops he did however prescribe me oral antibiotics. If it weren't for being an emergency I would not have gone to see him if I knew his bedside manner or how he treats people. Definitely will not go back if I need to see an additional eye doctor. But Let Me In by saying that the office staff the ladies at the front and even the technician that came in and typed everything up so he could come in later were great

Very friendly staff. Have loved going here for the last +/- 8 years. Always very neat and organized. No long waiting rooms times. Facilities are always very clean and tidy. Dr. McMillian and his helpers are all very knowledgeable and make you feel extremely comfortable about any and every thing they do there. Very reasonable prices on frames and glasses, along with a good selection. Very much recommend!
