They treat you like a "thing." They never introduced themselves to you or tell you what they are going to do. The lady who test you for glaucoma and gives the eye drops never introduced herself . Got angry when I asked for the name of the medication she was going to put in my eyes. She kept saying numbing drops and drops to dilate my eyes. I kept saying what are the names. I am allergic to several eye medications and I just wanted to know what she was giving me. She gave me 1 name starting with the letter "P." She didn't tell me how long the medicines were effective and possible side effects. She went from typing on the keyboard to putting the eye drops in my eyes without cleaning her hands. The sanitizer was there on the desk. The doctor acted like he was running a race. He looked in my eyes and told that he was ready to inject my right eye for treatment. He never discussed options. I don't think I am going to go back there. I don't like being treated like an object to make money off. One person you could hear in the waiting room asking patients about their medical conditions. She never closed the door to the room. A clear HIPAA violation. Did anyone there go to a professional school other than the doctor ? Or were they just hired and not trained very well. The first person I saw was running around with a shawl around her shoulders complaining about how cold it was. You have an option. Wear a jacket to work. Wear long sleeves!!!

I am well pleased with Dr Haynes. After a professional screening and her explanation, I receive a great report. She was filling in for Dr Steele due to a scheduling issue. Both doctors were well aware of my eye condition and explained it to me. Professional and articulate

I was referred to Charles Retina by my regular dr for additional testing. I was assigned to Dr. Hayes. She was kind and explained things well and did not rush me with my questions. Everyone was very kind and professional from the front door to the checkout process. I was told upfront, it could be 2 to 4 hours at the appointment. I understand, as you go to different offices for testing and dilation. I appreciated the heads up, when I made the appointment.

Saw Dr. Huddleston. Felt like he didn't want to be there. Spent less than five minutes with me and was dismissive about anything I brought up. I didn't feel heard at all. He said to reschedule in a year. I probably won't. The rest of the staff was really nice though.

The surgery went as expected. I would've liked some literature on "normal" symptoms following the laser surgery. The doctor verbally told me, but I was so nervous at the time that I didn't remember any of them when I got home. Even if I couldn't read the literature myself, I would've had someone look at them. Other than that, it was fine.

The stars only apply to the factory environment wherein patients find themselves basically on a conveyor system shuttled from Point A to Point B then Point C where they finally see the OD. My OD, Dr Rachel Steele, was exceptionally nice, informative and professional. Had I not had to wait 90 minutes to see her, I would have given 5 Stars. As it was, they "expedited" my wait time due to my being a Type 1 diabetic. Otherwise the wait time, I was told, could be up to four hours. This for a scheduled appointment not a walk-in. Again, Dr Steele was wonderful, but the overall experience left me thinking that it would be better for me to consider a smaller practice.

Dr. Rafieetary saved my vision after a detached retina and separated macula when I was only 48! He gave such professional and empathetic care. He got me into surgery the same day and was diligent about my follow up care. Now, a year later, he is still carefully watching my progress and helping me to stay on top of things. His whole team is always so friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend Dr. Rafieetary or the Charles Retina Institute more.

Wait was not as extensive as I thought it would be, but including everything it was about four hours. Personnel were friendly, informative and helpful. Dr. Charles reviewed pictures carefully and explained everything well. He answered all My questions and is very knowledgeable and professional. I will be returning for surgery. Would have really appreciated a cup Of coffee or tea.
