His nurse assistant, Angel, is very friendly and caring. She takes time to make sure you are comfortable and ready before your treatment and then ready after your treatment to go home. I can't say enough great things about our experience at Southeast Retina! My husband had never seen a retina specialist prior to this year and we were fortunate enough to find this office. Dr Barb is wonderful. He's very thorough and kind. He explained everything to us in detail. He was not your typical standoffish doctor. The support staff truly stand out above many of the other medical practices we have visited. Everyone was very professional and kind, in particular Brittany! We needed records sent to our primary care physician ahead of a last minute appointment. I received a call back very quickly from Brittany who was not only very helpful but very pleasant and sweet over the phone as well. I can't thank her enough for all of her help. We are so pleased to be in the care of such competent professionals! Thank you again!

Dr Barb is the best. I was terrified about getting shots in my eye and he was so good to me knowing I have PTSD and Makayla is the best at numbing my eye and her sweet demeanor is so pleasant. I don't see the shot or feel it. Thank you Dr Barb and Makayla. The girls outfront are so kind and greet you with a smile.

This practice doesn't deserve even 1 star. Don't get me wrong, the Drs are fine.....it's the practice that isn't. They have many locations so if you require follow up make sure it's the lo cation that you want and bring a lunch. After a 2 hour wait walked out without being seen yet......and they still sent a bill. And, in the Sevierville office the check out woman couldn't be more unpleasant. Bottom line, would go elsewhere if had the choice and take the dr with us

Having to wait 2-3 hours to see the doctor is not a good sign to have in any doctor's office. The office needs to book people according to what needs to be done for each patients.
