As a low income veteran, it seems like they should be a little more accommodating. Just wanted to check my glasses that I purchased online and see if they matched my prescription that I got from the VA. They simply said no and that I would have to pay $120 for a new exam. It's a 3 hour drive, one way to the VA eye center. I know the Dr. here, and she is good, but the office is terrible.

They scheduled an appointment for me months out and when I finally get there, they did not order the contacts for me to try because they had no notes about it. They also do not have digital copies of prescriptions. Very unprofessional.

I went to the doctor and they sent me to this eye doctor. I told my doctor I didn't have vision insurance and the doctor said that it would all be covered with my insurance since it was medically necessary. I get to my appointment and they couldn't take my insurance which I get but I feel like it should been noticed sooner then my appointment. Since the doctor off already made sure my insurance would cover it.

I agree with Darrel if you need your glasses checked go to Walmart they will check your prescription and adjust your glasses and even change the nose pads all with a smile and no charge regardless of where you got your glasses.
