I had a very positive experience with Stanton Optical. I purchased a pair of glasses and had one repaired. The customer service technician (Albany) is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She explained what I needed to know about my purchase, for example the price and when I could expect delivery. I recommend this store for your optical eye wear needs.

This was a terrible experience. Let me start by saying I'm retired military and have never had an eye exam outside of military doctors so my expectations aren't high (iykyk). Anyway, I went in for an exam. They seemed friendly checked me in and told me to go pick frames. I can read and understood price difference, but not one person asked if I needed help. Then took exam...it was what it was not great, not bad. So I went to pay and set up the frames. It was going to cost over $500 with insurance....without $116. I don't blame them for the insurance (but let's face it insurance is a racket). Fine whatever...get a text that evening they are ready. I go the next day at lunch and no one can find them. So I came back today and the prescription was so far off I got an almost instant headache. I got my money back and I will be going elsewhere.

I cannot believe how unprofessional this company is. I received two pairs of glasses with an eye exam, when the frames were prepared the lenses on one pair were popping out of the frame with gentle pressure from shammy cloth and the other was completely bent out of shape. I returned the glasses for a refund. I have never been to a optimists who cares so little for quality. I'm addition to this, they sent a text indicating that the glasses were ready when they were not causing me to have to wait one hour for completion of the frames, and I was hung up when speaking to the store manager.

Had. Eye exam first off 2 and a half hours to get a simple eye exam only for them to say my rx wasnt accepted. Theres no optometrist in location everything is out sourced to diffrent locations. Had to do it twice because the outsourced optometrist had a bad outcome. Was told my Rx couldnt be verified charged 64 dollars for the eye exam despite no prescription given. Went for a simple piece of paper so I could get glasses and they couldnt even help with that. My question is how can you call yourself and optometry when you aint even got a optometrist on location

Had my eye exam a couple days ago. The front receptionist was very polite and patient while I have having issues pulling up my insurance benefits, however the eye exam itself wasn't the best. It's telemedicine where the eye doctor is on webcam, which I've done before so I don't think it would be an issue but it didn't seem like the doctor was flipping through the right lenses for me as towards the end, I couldn't make out a single letter on the screen. We started all over, same thing. The doctor messages for a tech to come in and clean the lenses, tells me to sit back, look up at the ceiling and blink my eyes to readjust, but still, after going through the exam again, I still couldn't read anything on the screen. So, the in-office tech did my exam herself and she was very polite, but the overall experience left me feeling a little less confident in my prescription. Then, the lady who assured me at the desk with the frames I chose embarrassed me. I had chosen two frames that I liked, one pair fitting better than the other so I leaned more towards that pair. She had me put the frames in and immediately told me "they're too small". To me they felt great, even better than my current pair. But when I told her that, she shook her head and said that my face is too wide for them. She then grabbed the frames and dramatically pulled the arms out wide and said "this is what they're doing on your face". I felt like embarrassed. She then got up and picked out quite a few pairs of frames for me to try on, but unfortunately I didn't like any of them despite her telling me they are the right size for me. Rather than educating me on frame widths and how they're supposed to fit, she told me a couple of times that my face is too wide. I left with a printout of my prescription and although im not super confident I received the right prescription due to the eye exam issues, I ended up going to a different eye glass company in town to get frames and had the best experience there.

Brooke was so sweet. We are from out of town and my daughters glasses got loose. We stopped to see Id they could tighten them and she rooknhteat care of my daughter making sure they fit her face well. I'll definitely recommend them

I came in to Stanton optical today and needed a screw replaced in the arms to be tightened unfortunately I was a little over on the warranty! The sweet and understanding Albany assisted me very well. She offered to replace my frames free of charge and save me over $180 something that I never expected! I've definitely continue to come back as a loyal customer The last 5 years and refer my fans and family! God bless you Albany!

If you have VSP, they are not in network even though they have it listed on their website. If you schedule an appointment, plan on waiting for walk-ins to be placed ahead of you. The associates didn't greet or acknowledge us when we were in the store (may be understaffed) or ask if we needed help or mention the insurance situation at the very least until after we signed in and waited for about 45 min to an hour.
