St. Luke Eye Institute

I left a yelp review, but wanted to post here too so everyone can know what my experience was like. The employee helping me had really bad body odor, which made the entire experience uncomfortable. On top of that, when it was finally time to pay for my glasses, they started adding on extra charges that hadn't been mentioned before. They made a simple purchase feeling shady and way more expensive than expected. Definitely left annoyed. You need to let people know when there will be more charges this is very annoying

First time and had no issues here. The staff was pleasant and the doctor she was thorough and friendly. I liked the old school feel and didn't feel pressured.

Front desk lady was super rude. Had miscommunication about an appointment and I get that was my fault and I was in no way trying to blame them for that but for her to be so rude about it and I'm clearly confused and her to tell me are you gonna pay the fee to reschedule or not because I got patients waiting. That was unprofessional. Not once was I rude or talked to her with an attitude I was genuinely confused. Even after her telling me well that's your responsibility to have the right number on file. Yes you're right my daughter dad scheduled the first appointment and put his number down. Still not an excuse to talk to people in an unprofessional manner.

I arrived 30 min early. There was no one in the waiting room; however, there were patients in the back. I was able to fill out new patient info on my phone, which was very easy. The receptionist, Taneshia was very polite and professional. I was called quickly and the exam began. The tech, Gabby was also professional, approachable and demonstrated pleasant patience with me. Dr. Alspar is also very professional, thorough, and explains using Layman's terms. Overall it was an enjoyable visit, yet I do need bifocals. I highly recommend St. Luke Eye Institute / 9th Ave Optical.

Dr. Was super rude. I tried going in there with my 7 year old son and he literally kicked me out of the room. Who does this? My child is 7 i need to be in there with him.

3.5 to 4 star review. The doctors and staff of on the optometry side are friendly and very efficient with timing and patience. But when it comes to the store that is inside of the clinic they upcharge over insurance costs by 30 to 40%. They give you a price while you're browsing for frames but when it comes to them telling you the total is higher.

Great doctor and staff are so friendly and always smiling when they great you. Helped my daughter and husband find the perfect glasses.

We have brought our three kids hear for the second straight year and the staff is amazing and friendly. They go out of there way to listen to the kids and help them to make sure they get through the testing properly. The Dr has been wonderful for the kids and listens to what is going on with them so they can get the right prescription for there eyes.
