Texas State Optical - Dowlen

A huge thank you to Texas State Optical - Dowlen! I came in as a walk-in and was helped right away. Everyone was very helpful and took the time to explain everything clearly throughout the entire process. They were extremely informative and even went above and beyond by finding insurance coverage I didn't know I had, which helped assist with payment for my doctor's visit. The experience was smooth, professional, and genuinely caring. I truly appreciate the outstanding service!

EDIT: also, shout out to Tammy at the front desk! She's AWESOME :) We are not patients here but plan to switch over asap due to an amazing in-store experience with the optician named Cole! We are thrilled by his incredible professionalism, helpfulness, and extensive field knowledge which clearly surpasses the qualifications of his role. We came in to browse frames and get a feel of the office vibe (which is great) and he exhausted every resource to assist with my husband's current frames since the lenses were made incorrectly by another practice. He tightened the frames, cleaned the lenses, and double-checked the prescription that's in the lenses. He showed genuine care as to our situation and gave us his full attention, which these days is novelty. Thank you so much to the TSO team. We are looking forward to giving you more of our business in the future!

The team they have are absolutely amazing! I didn't run into anyone who was rude like other places. Dr. Dolce was fabulous and very informative about my eyes and left me with no questions. Nimsi was also fabulous. She helped me understand the type of lenses that would be best for me and even complemented the frames I got and understood that I was on a budget and helped me stay in that budget. 1000/10 will be back!!!

Great experience at TSO with Dr. Blount. He was funny, kind, and made my son feel comfortable during the exam. The staff was friendly, everything went smoothly, and we were able to get glasses the same day. Highly recommend! Lauren and Nimsi also did an amazing job answering all of my questions. Zero complaints.

This office is amazing. They were very busy first thing in the morning and yet every staff member made sure to welcome us. They managed to get my son, my wife, and myself through quickly and Dr Rhodes was outstanding, kind, and very thorough with our exams. They even managed to get my glasses ready the same day for my astigmatism prescription since they had my lenses available in office. I'm very impressed with their office and recommend TSO Dowlen for anyone in SETX.

I NEVER LEAVE REVIEWS but as someone who has never been to an eye dr before & quite frankly was a little scared/anxious, I had such a great experience here. I originally went in because I thought I might have gotten pink eye, but I was told it was just allergies & I was also given a prescription for glasses that I didn't even know I "needed"...it was explained to me why they would be beneficial in my case. You can tell the dr cared to explain & answer questions, and he even gave me an idea to try regarding migraines which is not what I even went in for. I will definitely be back! <3

The front desk staff is amazing!! When I arrived, there was a backup checking in. I thought "Ugh! This is going to be a hassle." But they efficiently worked thru everyone. Handled a few not so pleasant patients kindly and addressed all issues while giving compliments to some patients. They welcomed everyone & worked thru the backlog with another staff member not on the front desk coming over to help. Very helpful & refreshing!! All medical offices should be like this!!

The entire staff is amazing! They make you feel welcomed from the time you enter the door until you leave. The doctor's are awesome they have personality and are very professional. I really enjoyed myself during my visit. Thank you all!
