I and many of my family members have been patients of BCVC and Dr Dobson for 18 years. We have always been treated with the utmost of care and professionalism and will continue to recommend Dr Dobson for any vision care. Dr Dobson treats me, my 90 year young mom who has glaucoma as well as an aunt and cousin. He takes his time to really listen and work with our needs and his staff never makes you feel rushed. I highly recommend them in Austin or in Dripping Springs.

To start, I have been seeing eye doctors for 33 years. I visited Bee Cave Vision Center yesterday as a new patient and I was hoping for a way better experience, I will NOT be back as a patient! When I arrived it seemed modern and everyone was really nice until check out. When my exam was finished I was escorted to a different desk than the check in desk, which I now realize is designed to make more money by selling you lenses or glasses covered by your insurance, whether you are ready to do that or not. The check out procedure for the exam and visit is completed AFTER they review your insurance and then assume what you will buy. In my case, I just wanted to discuss options because it seemed like she wanted to help, but I quickly realized that her goal was to charge me as much as possible. When I didn't buy as many contacts as she was going to sell me (without asking me how many I wanted) her demeanor turned from warm to very short and cold. I did say that I was interested in using my insurance benefits for my glasses, but I wasn't interested in asking any further after the experience purchasing my contacts and she didn't offer at all. My advice would be to ask for your eye exam invoice BEFORE you discuss any other eyewear or contacts or you run the risk of being held hostage, rushed, and treated rudely while you try to decide what you need next. Or just don't go at all.

I am glad I found this place. I haven't had an eye exam in 2 years because I hated my old eye doctor. They are very nice here and the office itself has a nice welcoming energy. I'll definitely be back when it comes time for my next eye exam.

I had high hopes of BCVC, but the end result is that I would not recommend them. After several very expensive exams and under the recommendation of Dr Dobson, who was very nice, I purchased a pair of progressive glasses in the range of $600. I have never worn glasses, but as I get older, my vision concerning reading, small print has started to worsen slightly. I have been wearing store-bought readers only while working/reading. My vision is fine for daily use, but was talked into trying to wear new progressive glasses 24x7. The first set was an incorrect prescription, the second was incorrect pupillary distance, I dont know what exactly the issue was with the third set but just know they were unwearable while doing any activity (driving, surfing the web, mowing the grass, walking up/down stairs, etc). I was told to just keep trying them and I did give it my best effort. After a few months though, I gave up and simply asked them to turn my progressive prescription glasses into some nice reading glasses as I have been using HEB reader for many years. I was told this would be yet another $180 to refit a pair of glasses that were never correct from day one. I will not be going back and will be trying to find someone else to refit my expensive, useless, progressive glasses into simple readers. **Update: I see that several of these reviews are responded to by BCVC but I have to assume its just for appearance as I have never been contacted to resolve any issues after providing contact info, despite being told they would.

Dr. Brad Dobson and his staff are the best. Six plus years of annual exams and glasses have been a pleasure for me and my wife. Thank you!

This place used to be great. I feel terrible writing this because Dr. Dobson is a super nice guy and he has seen our whole family for 15 years now. No more. Since the corporate takeover there is no personal touch and lots of confusion. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'm done. We had nice run BCVS, but no one in my family will be back.

Excellent patient experience. Very clean and modern office following all of the CDC guidelines. Each person who worked with me along the patient experience was friendly and helpful. Dr. Dobson was warm, knowledgeable and kind. Also they carry high end brands for glasses. Very excited to have this vision center in Dripping.

They go above and beyond ! Margarita is always so helpful and patient when I am choosing my glasses. She has great taste in frames and knows what looks best on me. Dr. Dobson is very thorough with his tests and takes his time listening to me about my concerns. All the staff are very kind and helpful. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else and I highly recommend them to family and friends.
