Walmart Vision & Glasses

On Black Friday, 11/28/2025, I made a call to this location to see if they had the Meta Rayban glasses in stock that were on sale. I was placed on hold twice by a gentleman who stated that they did have in stock in store and that I could come by and purchase. This was perfect because I had a plan to get these for my son as a birthday gift. When I arrived to the store, this same gentleman stated that they were not in stock and that he did not have any available in their store or any neighboring store. I politely asked if he remembered me calling 15 minutes prior to coming to verify before making a blank trip and he stated yes, but he was looking at the wrong inventory. I then asked for an alternative and he called his manager for advice. Manager then stated I could purchase these and they will be into the store in roughly 10 days to pickup. Glasses were purchased although I was not pleased. Fast forward 12 days later, I still have yet to receive my purchased glasses. I called the store to check the eta and was told by a young lady that they had not made it in yet, and there was no eta. Apparently these were on back order, and this was not communicated to me. If I had known, I would have purchased elsewhere to ensure I had them on time for my gift to my son. My wife visited the store for alternative solution but to no avail. ETA of 12-12-2025 was now given, but with no guarantee. Staff was not helpful nor did they provide any assistance to an issue created by their staff. We even offered to receive a different pair to make sure we get something, but the answer was no. My son will now not receive his anticipated gift for his birthday, and I am forced to scramble to find my own solution due to negligence on behalf of the store. Not one solution or alternative given, only to come back tomorrow to speak with manager who seems to never be in store when issues arise. I am having to constantly hound the store and make back and forth trips for absolutely nothing. No win situation and absolutely unprofessional the way this is being handled. No remorse, not one care, just advised to "keep calling and coming back. They will be in at some point". Money wasted, time wasted, and birthday surprise ruined. Let me just say... I had the BEST experience at the Walmart Vision Center at 9235 N Sam Houston Pkwy E in Humble. Toward the end of last year, I was due for my annual eye exam. I went in, did my checkup, and found out my vision had improved--so I needed a new prescription. Right after that appointment, I walked over to the optical center and met Ms. Kenya, and from the jump she was so friendly and professional it honestly caught me off guard (in the best way). She walked up to me like she already knew me and started helping me within minutes. I tried on a bunch of frames, but none of them felt like "the one," and Kenya could tell. She asked if I'd ever heard of the Ray-Ban Meta glasses. I said yes, but I thought they were too expensive. Turns out, a sale was going on and my insurance covered a big part of it--so it worked out perfectly. The attention and service were impeccable. When the glasses came in, I was extremely satisfied. And I was so happy with the experience that I brought in my Ray-Ban Aviators--a pair I hadn't worn much because I needed prescription lenses. Kenya casually goes, "Oh, we can do that too." Like... WHAT? Done. I've never been so impressed with the personal attention at an optical place. I actually look forward to buying another pair. The employees here are truly top-tier. Thank you, ladies!

I came in to get my daughter's second pair of glasses, and now I'm wishing I had gotten her first pair here too. I worked with a lady named Kenya, and she was incredibly patient while I picked out frames for my daughter. She even fixed my daughter's first pair on the spot because they had already bent after just a month. What surprised me most was the price. Her second pair without insurance cost me less than her first pair with insurance somewhere else. They also have a huge variety of kids' frames. I'll definitely be back next year. Highly recommend.

I stopped by the Walmart Eye Center, and Suzanne, the eye tech, was amazing! She went above and beyond to help me with my sunglasses. She's friendly, patient, and genuinely cares about helping people. I highly recommend coming here and asking for Suzanne she'll take great care of you!

I visited Walmart Vision this morning and was assisted by Marco who was very friendly and helpful. He assisted me putting my glass lens back on my frames and at no charge at all. He tightened one side and even cleaned them off. Great customer service!!

Even the name brand frames are low quality and the person who helped me said I would have a guarantee on my frames. They are Coach glasses and the arm of the frames snapped and I called them and was told I did not get a guarantee on my frames. I HAD AN ENTIRE CONVERSATION WITH THE MAN WHO SOLD ME THE GLASSES WHERE HE ASSURED ME THEY WOULD BE COVERED FOR ANY ACCIDENTS, DEFECTS, SO NOW I'M JUST OUT $500. I bought FOUR pairs of glasses that day between my daughter and I. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!

Marco was very helpful. He fixed my screw and bent back my glasses where others didn't even want to try due to being scared of breaking them.
