This place blew my mind!!! So first off you walk in and you feel like your in a fine jewelery store, very nicely setup business no doubt. The ladies behind the desk welcome you, and get you signed in. I was called back a little ahead of my scheduled appointment which is always a plus. Been awhile since I had a eye appointment, but all the state of the art equipment made me feel like I was on another planet lol. Jazmin (hope I spelled that right) was very knowledgeable, and polite as she walked me thru each process. Afterwards Dr. Johnathan T. Lowery, O.D. came in and started checking everything out from there. Within minutes had my script locked in. He knows his stuff no doubt, and walked me thru my options, and let me know what to expect from this point forward just a very kind and respectful young man. From there I was brought out to Hailey who went over my insurance coverage, and the different options and what would best fit my needs. She wasn't pushy like I was expecting as she showed me around the MASSIVE selection of frames. She explained prices, styles, brands, and fits As she allowed me to take my time and make my selection. Afterwards she got me fitted, and my order in, and I was on my way. Also a shout out to the lady that checked me in she was a blonde on the front corner I believe her name was Macey or Megan either way she got me checked in and checked out fast, and had a smile and good attitude the whole time. Done with my rant I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Nacogdoches Eye Associates!!!

Dr. Self checked my eyes and his prescription was spot on! Additionally, it only took 4 1/2 days to get my glasses, so now I will be able to go on my trip to Europe and SEE! Thank you so much Nacogdoches Eye Associates for your prompt, friendly, and professional service!

Had a first eye appointment for my 1 year old today and Dr. Lowery did amazing with him! My baby did so good. We were in and out super fast, because he did so good with our baby. Definitely will continue seeing them for our eyes. They were wonderful on the same day they took good care of my brother! Overall great. Receptionist made us feel super welcomed! Thank y'all so much!!

I am disappointed that I wasted my time, energy, and money here. Normally I love to support local businesses, but in this case I prefer Walmart's Vision Center. If you have a stigmatism and wear contacts, JUST GO TO WALMART! The staff is extremely rude, which was the cherry on top. Overall a horrible experience. It took months to test different contact lenses, to the point that I accepted my loss and started from stratch at Walmart. It took him a few visits to even notice I have a stigmatism. (I've been wearing glasses for over 10 years.) Frame prices were also an arm and a leg. The people at Nacogdoches Walmart Vision Center are very kind and helpful! Thank you.

I had a great experience for my exam and contact lens fitting here, but I can't say the same for my optical experience. TLDR: I brought in personal frames, and they put in the wrong lens type and broke my frames. --Update-- The optical manager reached out quickly and was able to process a partial refund. She was kind to take her time to explain the situation further: polycarbonate would have also been ~$70 more (the same fee as Trivex) so they technically "didn't try to upsell" me. That was never explained to me initially when I was ordering and having my options laid out. Usually, Trivex costs more than polycarbonate anyway, so that was logically unusual to discover. Anyway, it seemed like there was a gap of training between opticians, as each one I spoke to seemed to have a different knowledge base about lens options. It was explained to me that they already did all they could by ordering a frame they typically didn't stock (the one I had to pay out of pocket for that was damaged) and waiving the additional lens fee, which I did appreciate. I look forward to receiving my replacement order. Hopefully it turns out better. Lesson learned: it is always better just to get a new frame from an optical shop if you intend to do business with them; that way, if the frame is broken/damaged during the order process, it is their responsibility to replace them at the end of the day. --Initial Review-- I had already used my insurance on new glasses with my most up-to-date prescription here earlier this year. Because I was happy with that experience, I chose to return with last year's frames I got from a different optometrist and optician. I specifically requested polycarbonate lenses. The optician tried to upsell me on Trivex material rather than polycarbonate because it would supposedly be thinner and lighter. I asked for the difference between that and polycarbonate, and it would have been ~$70 more, so I declined. Polycarbonate lenses were what was already in this pair of glasses from a different optical office, and I was extremely satisfied with those. I was told the next cheapest option was standard plastic, so I said okay to that, thinking she hopefully meant polycarbonate. I picked up my glasses today and was extremely disappointed. They indeed put in plastic lenses, and they had an ice cube-like thickness with my prescription. Not only this, but my frames were now damaged from them trying to insert these huge lenses into my frames! I am 100% certain that they were not cracked before handing them over... Because all optical shops make you sign a waiver stating they are not liable for damages for bringing in an outside frame, I definitely made sure they were in good condition before entrusting them with NEA. When I picked them up, I explained to the other optician that I was recommended "plastic" or Trivex, and he said that Trivex lenses were not even a good recommendation for my prescription in the first place. For reference, I have about a -4.50 sphere in both eyes. The best they could do was order a new frame with a discount on them and then the difference of the fee between the plastic and polycarbonate material. Now (as a student already on a tight budget) I am out of an extra $135 I shouldn't have had to spend if the original optician knew what polycarbonate was and also didn't try to upsell me... This will be the last optical order I will be placing with NEA. I will definitely just go back up to Tyler where I originally got my frames. I thought it would be more convenient finding an optician here as a student, but I was definitely wrong. Proceed with caution.

I have came to Nac Eye since I was a little girl, and I couldn't say enough good things about them! I have been seen by Dr. Saldana since childhood, and still do! He is so knowledgeable and kind and seems to always remember our last conversation (even though it was a year prior). Also, the staff is so friendly and polite. If you are in the Nacogdoches area and need an eye doctor, I would definitely come here! Thanks Nac Eye!

Excellent care and absolutely wonderful staff! Dr. Rushing is exceptional! She is extremely knowledgeable and caring. She understood my health conditions & effect upon my vision. The optical center provides great service! A shout out to Stephanie, a real sweetheart! She spent much time to help me. Definitely the place to go for eye care!!

As someone with extremely high social anxiety, I have found comfort each time I walk through the doors. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful, and they have answered all of my questions and made appointments that are convenient for my schedule.
