This review is for the manor of treatment, not the office staff and their performance. They were all attentive and helpful.... I was completely dumbfounded that the eye exam was administered by the office staff and the actual doctor discussed the findings for her vision changes via VIDEO!! Only a portion of the doctor's face was visible during his visit. You couldn't see his mouth. Which was important, since my mother, the 81-yr-old patient, has profound hearing loss and needs to read lips to understand. We communicated this fact, but no adjustment to his video screen was made. The sound quality was barely ample for even me to hear. After discussing her vision and prescription change we communicated the fact that my mother is placing her right eyeglasses lens on the bridge of her nose so as to better see objects up close. He didn't address this issue at all. Just sent her away with a new eyeglass prescription and a referral to a retina specialist. The specialist found nothing of concern, but said her eye health looks good for a person her age. So after that I did a Google search and found that the most likely cause of her new habit of adjusting how she wears her glasses is from Presbyopia-a condition affecting many seniors. Hence she needs to schedule another visit with her regular eye doctor. I believe any knowledgeable eye doctor should be familiar with an issue like this. According to Google it's not uncommon......Sadly disappointed and irritated to waste my mother's time and energy.

BEWARE!!!! Since they won't tell you, just know that when you schedule, you are scheduling to have an eye exam over VIDEO. Which is by far the most insane thing I've heard. When you question it, they will accuse you of booking online. I'm not sure where that makes a difference. But the appointment was in fact booked over the phone with most likely the person asking you this very question. Then when you ask them nicely to be sure and let other people know before they come....they will not even look at you. They look straight down at their computer. They don't even recognize you as a human being. Not an apology. Not any acknowledgement of the inconvenience this has caused. Not any customer service whatsoever. Just rudeness. They should have said when I CALLED to book that their doctor was on maternity leave and it would be video. That if I wanted to see a doctor I would have to go to Beaumont. That is how you do your job correctly. You don't wait and highlight it on the paperwork being filled out when the person arrives for the appointment. I would have been agitated over this happening, but what put me very agitated was the rudeness I was given when it was their error and I was nothing but nice.

I had my first appointment today with MyEyeDr and I must say they are professional friendly and knowledgeable. Technology has its greater uses and this is one of them. Very high tech and accurate vision screening and reasonable costs. Thank you MyEyeDr for your service to the community.

I had a great experience today getting my eyes checked. The tech, Brittany, was incredibly sweet and friendly during the exam. She even came back to help with frame selection. I would highly recommend this office to anyone because of the staff alone! They were all amazing!

We made an appt for 2pm. We have proof. They say they have me at 3pm. Then they tell me they don't have a doctor present, they do exams via the internet.
