I would rate this place a zero. My first impression was the exterior of the office, which is quite hidden and has terrible parking. Everything feels outdated, and the building seems like it needs repairs. I almost thought it was abandoned! Upon entering, the place was dirty and old, giving the vibe of someone practicing in a rundown home. The receptionist appeared overwhelmed with tasks, and the eyewear options were far from modern--just very unattractive frames. What really made me walk away, though, was when the doctor and the receptionist, who I'm not even sure were just colleagues or married, started yelling at each other loudly in front of everyone. In my opinion, that's unprofessional. I had red flags from the very beginning, even when I called to make an appointment, the receptionist started the conversation with "Um what was I calling you for??". But the moment they began arguing in front of everyone, I knew I had to trust my instincts and leave. Overall, it was a horrible experience that reflected poorly from the start. Never have I walked away from an appointment due to many red flags! I should've read the reviews before scheduling.

Dr. Jackson and Lety are so nice. I had never gone to the eye doctor before and I was very satisfied with my experience, I now don't get headaches and can see very well with my new glasses. Doc is very efficient and a patient provider. I definitely recommend him for your eye exams and glasses. I have read the comments beneath mine and those people lack patience, believe me there are many optometrists in El Paso that you can visit for a higher cost but Dr. Jackson is a true gem.

I recently scheduled my husband for a visit and we arrived 40 minutes early to complete his paperwork. Little did we know what we would be walking into. We seated ourselves in the waiting area and overhear an argument going on between the doctor and his assistant. We rang the bell service to let ourselves be known, however the argument continued on and reached notable high volumes as she was seemingly confronting over invoice filing that may or not have been fraudulent. They argued back and forth with her throwing obscenities at him almost every sentence and accused him of overcharging to make profit. My husband and I hastily made our way out after hearing the argument continue and have a recording for proof on the unethical and frankly unprofessional conducted here. Please consider elsewhere. Update: door had sign that read front door to Dr. Richard Jackson Office! There was a bell in front! We have now contacted the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter

This place need an urgent update on EVERYTHING! from the backyard parking lot, to the dirty floors broken front door and old chairs on waiting room. First time here and had a Bad experience due to doctor and wife yelling at each other cursing out loud while all patients can clearly hear them. I got up and left then 5 mins after I receive a call from the doctors wife asking why I left and that if the reason for leaving was because of the fighting to not worry that's how the doctor and her play around. Very bad impression from parking lot all the way inside. Both of them fighting is so unprofessional. I do not recommend. Won't be coming back and please don't call me to try to explain yourself. Your practice is the worst one I've seen in my entire life.

I went with my daughter to get an exam and choose glasses, I'm overall impressed. The dr was so patient with my daughter while getting the exam she's 3 not many drs are patient with a 3 year old. Also the lady up front was very nice and it was pretty fast, just took longer because my daughter was giving us a hard time. But overall it was good.

The worst experience I've ever had in the history of seeing doctors. The receptionist and doctor fighting, and yelling behind the closed door. The doctor has no bedside manner is rude and plain out not professional. The back half is his home. I would recommend this place even to my worst enemy. Honestly the worst of the worst experience I've ever had and will not be retuning ever!

Good experience, of course the building is historical but i dont see a problem with that, and the optometrist seems reliable, had a hard time finding my insurance but he helped me out finding it in the system and I arrived earlier than my appointment and he still let me in, got everything done fast and smooth
