Dr. Myers at The Colony eye care is a very nice a professional Individual. I've been going to her for years. Her new shop is very clean nice selection of eyewear and up-to-date equipment. Her staff is very polite and helpful. A plus and a blessing to our community

I was disappointed with my recent experience at this office due to poor communication from the staff regarding costs and insurance coverage. When I arrived, the staff told me my copay would be $104. Since I don't normally pay that much, I asked if the overall fees had increased. I was told it was due to increases in the contact fitting and glasses fees. What they failed to mention was that I was also being charged $39 out-of-pocket for an Optomap scan, something my insurance doesn't cover and that I was never informed about beforehand. Since payment happens after the exam, I only discovered this additional charge when reviewing my itemized receipt after payment. Had I paid beforehand and seen the breakdown, I could have questioned it before the service was performed. After researching, I learned the Optomap is an optional alternative to dilation, which IS covered by my insurance. I was never given a choice between the two options or told about the insurance difference. When I'm directly asking why my costs increased, that would have been the appropriate time to disclose this additional out-of-pocket expense. Dr. Myers and the exam itself were fine, no complaints there. However, clear communication about costs and basic courtesy from the front desk staff should be standard in healthcare settings. I recommend asking very specific questions about what your insurance covers before agreeing to any services here.

I've been really impressed with this eye care office! They're always professional, accommodating, and make the whole process quick and easy. The staff is friendly and efficient--you're never waiting long, and they make sure you're comfortable the entire time. It's nice to find a place that values both quality care and your time! Highly recommend.

If I could give zero stars I would. During check in they tell you about a mandatory retinal exam not covered by your insurance which I've never heard of and I've been wearing glasses all my life. Then they took me for my exam and the hope is to successfully poke you in each eye 6 times which is wishful thinking in itself but as we're doing it it doesn't register so I ask to skip this portion and told if I can't get poked 12 times that registers we need to end the exam. Lol will never be back.

They were kind and nice. Colony vision cost a bit more than American best. However, the care that was shown was worth the price

Fantastic service from the staff. I had a special request for my prescription, and they did an amazing job with the right glasses for my needs.
