Family Eyecare - Dr. Rick Dinh

My Daughter got hit by a soccer ball at close range and after sitting in the emergency room for over an hour and a half we were told we needed to see an ophthalmologist. I searched for the closest one and called Dr. Dinh. He told us to come in and he would see her. Thank you Dr. Dinh for getting us in so quickly and guiding us to a surgeon. It was a crazy day to say the least. She didn't end up needing surgery but drops that reduce the pressure of the eye. The blood in the iris will eventually dissipate back into the eye. We appreciate you!!

I like going here for my eye exams. The doctor is very respectful and professional. I wish I had gone here again this year. The only thing is that I need the prescription eye drops for my dry eye, but he has me using otc.

Poor Communication & Hidden Charges - Beware My daughter visited this eye care center in Houston after calling ahead to confirm they accepted her vision insurance. They said yes -- but after her appointment, she was charged over $100 with no clear explanation. When she asked for clarification, the staff was dismissive and told her to "call back after 2," even though she was standing right there. I later called myself and was told that they "usually don't get paid" by our insurance -- something that should have been disclosed before providing services. They confirmed the insurance but still pushed forward, knowing they'd likely bill us instead. No one followed up when I requested a callback, and I was told there was no manager to speak with. This place lacks transparency and respect for patients. I will be filing a complaint, and I strongly urge others to avoid this business unless they change how they handle insurance and treat customers.

Theres a lot of doctors out here that just push you through, but not here my experience was thorough and detailed. I took my son in for an exam and the doctor gave me great reassurance in my visit. Dr Dinh had patience with my son for he is under the age of 2. Dr. Dinh showed the knowledge and rapport you want in your doctor.

We have been going to Dr Dinh for years. He is an excellent optometrist and a really nice person. Strongly recommend his services.

He's very through! We walked in to just do a regular eye exam and he found a disorder that needed to be addressed ASAP. He got us in with a retina specialist within the next week. He called us personally to check on how everything went.
