Matthew Porter, MD

My visit with Dr. Matthew Porter was my first experience with him. He was very knowledgeable and allowed me time to ask any questions or concerns that I had. The staff were very friendly. What impressed me most was Dr Porter assisted an older man with mobility issues transport of an exam chair back to his wheelchair. The only drawback I had was the amount of wait time. I do know of other eye doctors who have this same issue so I should understand that once you are seeing a specialist then it will take a longer appointment time. I am glad I wad referred to Dr Porter.

Always enjoy seeing Dr Porter and his team. I feel well taken care of by everyone. Dr Porter is easy to talk to and is always happy to answer my questions about my care and --sometimes-- unrelated matters.

I am extremely pleased with the treatment I Have received from Dr. Porter. He is very caring and is interested in you as a patient. He is willing and ready to answer any questions you may have and takes the time to explain whatever concerns you.

Dr Porter is great at his job. My first eye surgery went very good. Second one went good too. Very professional and answers all your questions. Tell you what is happening before surgery. Great bed side manner too. Nice to see great again. Thanks Dr Porter.

For me, a visit to see Dr. Porter means that I have access to the very best that the medical profession has to offer. There may be the inherent delays involved with being seen by a medical school staff, but any inconvenience is more than offset by knowing that the latest equipment available, the most recent updates in Dr. Porter's field of expertise and the genuine concern for my well being from an entire staff is all at my disposal. There is never a question that I have that goes unanswered and never would it cross my mind to seek care anywhere else.

Dr. Porter,his assistants and staff are truly examples of how eye health care should be. Texas tech should be very thankful that Dr. Porter is affiliated with the college and hospital. Dr. Porter and Dr. McCartney have allowed my wife a chance to hold on to her vision for a while longer, praise Jesus!

Thank you Dr. Porter for doing the lazer procedure on my right eye. My right eye feels better and can't wait till you do my other eye. Thank you again for caring about my eyes.
