I had an amazing experience undergoing laser eye surgery with Anderson Eye Care. From the very first consultation, everything was extremely thorough, with multiple eye scans and tests carried out so Mr Anderson could provide an accurate, personalised recommendation on the most suitable type of surgery for me. I was advised and opted to have SMILE surgery on both eyes as I had moderate myopia (around -5.00) and had worn glasses since school age. The procedure was explained in detail, including exactly what I could expect to feel at each stage. Mr Anderson's expertise and experience were very clear, and I felt completely confident in his care. Mr Bhogal conducted a thorough examination of my eyes to determine my current prescription, so that my vision can be fully corrected during surgery. The wait for the surgery was only a few weeks. On the day of the procedure, all the staff were warm, friendly, and reassuring, which really helped to ease my nerves. The surgery itself was very straightforward and completely painless. I was able to go home shortly afterwards with my eye drop routine, which was easy to get used to despite the number of drops initially required. Within days, my vision had already improved significantly. Glare from bright lights quickly settled, and I experienced only slight irritation. Since then, my vision has continued to improve and is now better than ever. I experience no dry eye symptoms, even when working in air-conditioned environments. The cost was very reasonable, with everything clearly explained upfront and no hidden extras. Overall, the experience with all the staff was excellent. It was especially reassuring to see Mr Anderson himself at every appointment, both before and after the procedure, and Mr Bhogal continuing the care with his eye examinations after. This level of continuity is rare and really adds to the confidence and trust you feel in his care. Thank you to everyone involved!

I was referred to Anderson Eye Care by my optician for cataracts and I must say what a fantastic professional service. Mr Anderson having first examined my eyes explained in simple terms what my options were and reassured be that the op would be painless. As a result I chose to have both eyes done at the same time. Having now had the op he was not wrong, totally painless and no need to be anaesthetised just local drops in each eye I have already recommended him to my sister. You won't find better

I have had an amazing experience having laser eye surgery with Anderson eye care! The first consultation was very thorough, with multiple eye scans and tests to enable Mr Anderson to give an accurate and personalised recommendation about what type of laser eye surgery I would be most suitable for. I was recommended to have SMILE surgery to both eyes (I had a high myopia around - 7.00 and have worn glasses since school age). We discussed the procedure and what it will feel like at each stage. I felt completely confident in Mr Anderson's care and it's clear he has a huge amount of experience. It was only a few weeks to wait from deciding to go ahead with the procedure and being booked in to have it done. On the day of the surgery everyone was very warm and welcoming, helping to ease my anxieties. The actual procedure was so straightforward (for me as the patient at least!) and completely painless. I was home very shortly afterwards with my eye drop regime to start. There were a lot of drops to start with but you very quickly get used to popping them in. Within days my vision was already so much better, glare from bright lights started to settle and I felt very minimal irritation to my eyes. Since then it has just got better and better. My vision is pretty much perfect, I have no dry eye symptoms despite working long shifts in front of computer screens, and I still forget that I don't have my contact lenses in and that this is my actual vision now! The cost was very reasonable, all upfront with no hidden extras, finance available from the hospital if needed. It was a really good experience from all staff involved, but was exceptionally nice to see Mr Anderson himself for every appointment both pre and post procedure - something which is very rare to find elsewhere but really does give you the confidence and reassurance in him as a surgeon! I cannot recommend David Anderson and his team at Anderson Eye Care highly enough. From start to finish the experience was professional, friendly and reassuring. I was diagnosed with astigmatism around the age of 18 and it had been gradually worsening over the years. By the time I sought treatment I was struggling to read even the top line of an eye chart without glasses and increasingly needed them for work, driving and daily life. Concerned it would only get worse I researched options online and came across numerous positive reviews for Anderson Eye Care. Deciding to go with them was absolutely the right choice. Three months after my SMILE surgery my vision is better than 20/20. Both my astigmatism and shortsightedness are now negligible. The surgery itself was seamless, recovery was comfortable and virtually painless and my only ongoing routine is the use of moisturising eye drops which I plan to phase out in the next few months. The entire team from reception to post-op care were friendly, knowledgeable and supportive throughout. If you are considering eye surgery and want professional, affordable and genuinely caring service, David Anderson and his team are an excellent choice.

I had cataract surgery on both eyes back in 2022. Last year one eye became 'fogged up' and I returned to David Anderson for a YAG procedure which was very successful. This year the second eye needed 'defogging' and I contacted David Anderson and again, a very successful outcome. Another plus was that the YAG procedure was completed in just one visit. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David Anderson and his team for an informative, calm and professional approach to their patients!

My consultation with Mr Anderson, put my mind at ease with his professional and personable calm manner. He explained the procedure and different options in great detail. On the day of the operation I was a little apprehensive, but all the staff were reassuring. The operation itself went without any issues, I had a care package to take home. My follow up appointment eye test showed my vision was 20/20 + and I can read N4 on the chart. Mr Anderson was delighted. I am glasses free and completely satisfied with the outcome.

Mr Anderson, Smile laser surgery, Excellent from start to finish! I accompanied my son, 20, who had ReLex SMILE laser surgery in June. He had previously worn glasses as he was short sighted. We found the pictures, information and video explanations on the Anderson Eye Care website very helpful and informative. It's good to know in advance who your surgeon will be to allow research about them and the venue. From our initial research, through every point of contact with the team, through consultation, procedure and follow up appointments, all with Mr Anderson himself, all at the same location, everything is very clearly, kindly, knowledgeably and calmly explained with all questions answered. Considering the prospect of laser eye surgery feels like a very big step beforehand. I felt due to the important nature of his work, Mr Anderson would probably be a very serious person. He's actually very personable and put my son and I at ease when we met him at the initial consultation. We walked out feeling quite relaxed about the whole thing! I felt reassured to know that the follow up appointments were with Mr Anderson himself. That way if anything wasn't exactly as it should be, with his knowledge and experience he'd know. He's done the surgery, he'll know what to do about it. They'll be no toing and froing between different people. The SMILE surgery is great, I'm so glad my son could have that type due to the quick healing time and lack of possible complications that it offers. Our research took time, but the procedure on the day took less time than buying a box of eggs! My son could see immediately afterwards, although his vision was blurry. His surgery was late afternoon and by the next morning he could see normally! At his second check up one week later his vision was better than 20/20! No more glasses! When I rang the team with questions during the healing process my call was returned promptly and efficiently with thanks to Laura. The staff at Nuffield Health Chandlers Ford were all friendly and helpful. The facility is easy to find, clean and comfortable with parking right outside. On the day of the procedure we were very well looked after and grateful of the private room to wait in both beforehand and afterwards. (For comparison and in contrast, I have previously accompanied my other half through laser eye surgery with a high street company where the experience felt much less personal and much more production line, in less comfortable and less private surroundings. The consultation was not with the surgeon. The patient meets the surgeon on the day of surgery, the after care was with different people at a separate location. No continuity. The price was similar, the experience was very different! I wish we had discovered Andersons Eye Care earlier.) My son has his three month check up coming up. Everything is great, his vision is amazing, zero complications, no more specs! I'm so pleased he's had it done and for all the years of good vision he will benefit from. At this point It feels good to know we'll be going back to the same place, same people for the next check up with Mr Anderson. David, I have funded it, you have done it, we have given my son the gift of good eyesight.
