I had an excellent experience at the Salford branch of Scrivens Opticians and can't recommend them highly enough. The staff are welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout my visits. They take time to explain everything clearly and make me feel completely at ease.
What really stood out was how thorough they are. At 49 years old, they identified that I have a lazy eye, something that had never been picked up before at any other opticians. I'm genuinely impressed by their attention to detail and the care they take to investigate properly rather than rushing the appointment.
They are also extremely patient when it comes to helping me choose frames. I'm quite fussy, and they haven't rushed me to pick a pair of frames and are happy to help me try different options until I find the right pair.
It's clear they genuinely care about their patients and the quality of service they provide. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, thorough, and friendly opticians.

The staff at the Salford Branch are so helpful. Always make you feel comfortable. I suffer from Anxiety &Depression so I do struggle. But staff are absolutely brilliant .I've been diagnosed with Macular. And that was detected by Muhammed Patel. Who again is very helpful and answers any questions. I'm awaiting to see consultant at Manchester Eye Hospital after Muhammed sent a referral. Thankyou to all the brilliant staff. Best wishes Shirley Hargreaves

I had a very pleasant visit when I went for an eye test on 19.02.2026. All staff were very nice, kind and polite. I am not a customer of the branch but I was nearby when the side of my glasses came off. I popped in on the off chance that Scrivens could help and they did. Next time I'm due an eye test I'll definitely use Scrivens because of how friendly they were. Nicole was so helpful and very friendly, I was very impressed with the customer service provided to me.

Staff always so helpful Nicole and Rita are really lovely i suffer from anxiety and they are always so kind. Also Muhammed so kind and puts me at ease. A thorough eye test i had .And Muhammed found a problem with my right eye he referred me to Eye hospital Manchester where i was seen quickly on the 23rd September. I am now awaiting a further appointment as I've been diagnosed with Macular Hole in right eye. I was also told by the consultant that Muhammed is a brilliant optician to refer me.
