Eye Site of Utah

Eye Site of Utah is a fantastic practice. They are professional, knowledgeable, and warmly welcomed me. Dr. Gummow (heartwarming that my spellcheck tried to change him to 'Dr. Gummy' which, given his care and warmth, would be delightful for kiddos) is an excellent optometrist. He took the time to explain my eyes and also answer my questions...which were a lot because I'm fascinated by our remarkable eyeballs. Kasey and Kathy run the office beautifully and made me feel comfortable with the process of choosing glasses...plus Kasey has impeccable taste so I knew I'd find a pair that looks great. They are awesome.

I have had eye problems since i was 5 years old. Eye doctors and new prescriptions have always been a nightmare. In all my years of eye problems and doctor visits Dr. Gummow has been the most accommodating, patient and kind doctor i've ever met. Kelsey and the whole staff was so amazing and helped me work through needing multiple trials to nail down my prescription. Definitely found my new eye doctor and will be recommending others!

Dr. Gummow is fantastic. My wife commented today that he is the best eye doctor she has ever been to. She should know, she has been in glasses her entire life. He takes the time to make sure everything is clearly understood. I live in Salt Lake and it is well worth the drive. His office staff is top notch as well. A fantastic experience.

Fantastic eye doctor and staff! My 3 kids (ages 5-11) had appointments at Eye Site of Utah. The front office staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Gummow had my kids laughing and was patient with having them follow instructions. He created a comfortable environment for all of us.

Alan is top notch. I have been wearing glasses for 45 years. I have been to many eye doctors, with Alan the best. He has great relationships with his customers, making them feel at ease. The office staff there now is great, making me feel comfortable and at ease while trying to make decisions on what will work best for me and my vision. He honors all warranty work on lenses and frames. I cannot recommend Alan and his team enough. Well done guys.

From the begining they were very hesitant to hand over a printed copy of our prescriptions. They make more money if you just buy glasses and contacts from their office. But you should be allowed to shop anywhere. Was given the wrong prescription for contacts (because the two eyes are close and we don't wear contacts very often) I was shown the correct prescription and agreed to try a sample of the wrong prescription. tried a sample. Came back and got the correct prescription sample. However when we went to order contacts realized we were given the wrong prescription. But they refused to correct the prescription unless we paid for a new eye exam which insurance will not cover. They had the correct prescription from the begining and refused to correct their error even though that information was in the computer. Prescriptions should be good for 12 months. Will never return what a joke!

Dr. Gummow has always been kind and informative. It was very refreshing to go to his office and not feel like I was being pressured to buy a certain brand. He's personable and understanding. And Charity, his receptionist, is always calm and professional. I love going to this office!
