Joshua Schliesser, M.D. at Zion Eye Institute takes care of his patients and helps us to see straight. I strongly recommend him as he is our eye care specialist! For those living on the west side of the metropolitan area, the location at the corner of Santa Clara Drive (West Sunset) and Canyon View Drive (Across from Dutchman's Market) is very convenient.

Dr. Joshua Schliesser at Zion Eye Institute in Santa Clara is great. I am so blessed to have him as my eye opthomoligist. He always gives me a through eye exam and listens to my concerns. I've had some issues lately and they see me within 2 days of my call. If they can't, I will see one of his colleagues. Zion Eye Institute is the best for me. I trust my vision with them.

Our son is autistic and this was his first time seeing an ophthalmologist, he's always had a hard time at any doctor appointment, and my wife and I were totally shocked with how well this appointment went. Dr. Schliesser was amazing and the entire staff was so great with us and our boy!

We love Dr. Schliesser--he is an excellent doctor and always takes wonderful care of me and my daughter. Unfortunately, my recent experience with the front desk was very discouraging. Our insurance card clearly shows a $5 co-pay, but I was told it would be $40 instead. When I asked about it, I felt as though I was being blamed for the discrepancy and was told I needed to contact my insurance company to resolve it. The staff did let me pay $5 that day, but said I could still be billed the remaining $35 unless I fixed the issue myself. This was especially difficult because I had just come out of one of the hardest bouts of depression I've ever faced, and being told I had to pay money I didn't have nearly sent me right back into that dark place. I'll admit I could have handled my frustration with the staff better, but being sprung with an unexpected $40 charge was overwhelming and unfair. I truly believe the office should handle insurance discrepancies directly instead of placing that burden on patients
