The woman that did my eye pressures etc is AMAZING! I doubt the owners know the gem they have in her!! So wish I could remember her name! I imagine she'd work elsewhere if she didn't live on the mountain. The exam by the Dr was a shame. I told her I have never had issues with distance, only up close & wear readers daily. I was there to make sure my eyes were healthy & to verify I was using the correct strength reader. She told me in no uncertain terms that I needed glasses for distance & could insist it be put on my license. I was taken aback, but who's to argue with a Doctor. I picked up the glasses & the woman asked what I thought - I said I can't see. She said you have to get used to them and to push them on closer to my eyes. The sight was worse than when I went in with my readers on. Unfortunately I did not press the issue, i thought possibly I didn't know how bad my sight was. What an idiot I was, I should trust myself more! To be fair I have gave it 2 full months of wearing the glasses daily & it did not improved. I went to a different Eye Doctors office not associated with Myeyedr.com & this Dr. bumped up my close prescription for reading & stated I did not need the glasses for distance. The script for distance is minimal. What a shame that I waisted 700. for the exam, a script / glasses that I can not use. I appreciate the integrity my new Eye Dr has in her work, apparently it's not as common as one would think.

First, let me say that the technicians we worked with in person were super nice -- truly great. The office itself is clean, modern, and uses a lot of updated technology, which is all wonderful. However, you absolutely can't be in a rush. The first time, we figured the long wait was just due to overbooking or it being a busy day. But the second time we went back just for a contact lens fitting, it still took over two hours. Another strange part is that the actual eye exam is done virtually -- basically a Zoom call with a technician who does the "one or two?" portion of the exam, and then you're handed off to a doctor. While you're waiting, you have to sit through an awful video that plays on loop until they come on. By the time we were seen, we were so sick of watching it. The doctors themselves were quite nice, it's just odd that none of it is in person. The main issues are the repetitive waiting-room video and the extremely long amount of time you end up spending there. But the in-person office staff? Terrific. This was the only VSP provider taking new patients. So we appreciated getting in so quickly. But just really plan on being there a minimum of 2 hours.

I showed up expecting to use my insurance for a "virtual" visit and was informed at the front desk that insurance doesn't cover that type of visit. I agreed to get an exam anyways, which was a terrible mistake as I received a completely incorrect prescription. I purchased glasses and contacts that were completely blurry and am now out nearly $500 because of my experience here. I reached out to customer relations and they said there was nothing they could do. Definitely DON'T go here. They're not local and the customer service is terrible, especially for a large company. Stick to local.

I have great insurance and I have never had to pay anything for my annual vision exam, so after confirming that they took my insurance I assumed this would be the same. However, they charged me $40 for some random test that they did not inform me of prior to, and then another $120 for a contact fitting that I did not need or request. The latter is particularly problematic because a) my contact prescription didn't change, b) I repeatedly told them I was there only for an eye exam, and c) they didn't even have the correct contacts for me to try, so instead of being upfront about that they lied and said my prescription had changed, presumably to get me to do the contact fitting. At the end of the exam they told me my eyes had changed slightly so I needed to increase my contact prescription. I said ok and was told to try the updated prescription because they said they needed to take new pictures (this was how they phrased it - they never said it was a fitting). So then I go up to check out and order contacts, and the receptionist has to go back because their write up was confusing - in the prescription line they wrote this "updated" prescription that they had me to put contacts in for, but in the "recommendations" section they wrote out that I should actually purchase my correct prescription - aka the exact same prescription I came in with, absolutely no changes. So they essentially lied to me about my contact prescription specifically to get me to put in contacts that aren't even the correct vision for me and therefore charge me $120 for a completely unnecessary (and explicitly unasked for) contact fitting. Add to this that their technology went out halfway through my exam so I had to sit through the technician talking on the phone with IT support for 20+ minutes. Then, once it was fixed, I had to redo all of the exams. Overall this is no shade to the individual people there - they all seemed like they were trying to be helpful, but the contact fitting lie was egregious and I would not recommend this office to anyone. Also this took almost 2.5 hours.

Dr.Jones is wonderful! She is very thorough, patient, and explains everything so well. Excellent care. The office DOES schedule Virtual appointments, which can be with any doctor, which may work for some people but also misleading/confusing. Just be sure if you want to see the doctor IN this office to specify an in-person appointment.

I went to the Stowe office because I couldn't get into Williston. Most doctors that I've been to write prescriptions for 2 years by this company only does them for 1 year. I went through the exam process which involved a ton of photos and video of my eyes so that a doctor could review remotely and then discuss via zoom at the office what her findings were. It was interesting and not bad as they can compare my images year over year. But the irritating thing is they charge a contact lense fitting fee of over $125 when there was no fitting involved (my persciption didnt change from the prior year). The worst part is that the wrong contacts were ordered and delivered to me. I called to see if I could do the exchange through the williston office but was told I needed to bring the incorrect ones to the stowe office for the exchange. A huge inconvenience to say the least. I called the Stowe office the morning of 11/14 and talked to the receptionist who was very rude. She said shipping couldnt be done to a PO Box. OK, then why was that not an issue with the incorrect contacts that were sent to my po box? I said there is nothing different about how this order should get to me which was via PO box. She was dismissive and snotty. Not professional whatsoever. She should have been able to look at my file and been more accommodating given they messed up the order. They should also give me a refund for the fitting they didnt do and gas for having to drive all the way out there due to their misordering!!! Not happy at all!

I had a very pleasant experience today, I was greeted by Jeanne she was so sweet and the office was so clean and welcoming. Also,Sarah and Jen were so kind and pleasant. The Doctor was great and clear about my eye exam . Lisa was so knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly.They have a big variety of glasses to choose from. I will definitely be recommending MyEyeDr.
