Felt like being stabbed with a smile. I elected to not have the more extensive exam which would have cost more out of pocket. Despite this, they did imaging that I assumed was part of the standard exam because I was not told otherwise. At the end of the visit, I was informed that the bill was suddenly $170 because the imaging they did is not covered by any insurance and that, because the doctor observed scarring from a past procedure, they were billing my medical rather than vision insurance because that is a "diagnosis". I came here because I want my prescription to be precise and that's all! I needed new glasses and this visit should have been a$60 or $70 copay. The "sorry we didn't tell you" from the gal at the front desk does not make up for attempting to milk my insurance and my wallet. To make it even worse, the glasses frames were so overpriced that with my insurance covering $150 + %20, it would have been over $400 out of pocket! I went to Walmart, got the same frames and lenses and with a better warranty for significantly less. I'd rather support local business, but these folks lost me. They also initially refused to tell Walmart what should be part of my prescription until they were pressed on it. Had they held to that, I'd have a fat lens in only one side!

Wonderful experience! Dr. Keen and his staff were so helpful to work with! They were able to see my children quickly and make it so easy for all of us. Ordered glasses and received them within a few days. They were fitted and love them! Definitely recommend! Very glad to have a knowledgeable optometrist in our area!

I called for an appointment and was able to get one quickly. The staff were very friendly. Dr Keen examined my eyes throughly. He fitted me for new contact lenses. He was very understanding and accommodating to my eye needs. Very professional and caring. Definitely will see him again.

Dr. Keen has been my optometrist for several years now and he provides excellent care with kindness, patience, and integrity. He always takes his time and truly listens during appointments, and he's been so patient with me over the years -- adjusting my prescription until it's perfect and recommending the best contacts, glasses and OTC products. Anytime I've had an issue, he's been willing to see me and help. Grateful for his expertise and the care he gives our community!

Dr. Jonathan Keen is a wonderful Optometrist. Very thorough and professional! Disclaimer: He is also my son, and we have taught him values he not only uses in his home life but also his professional life! He cares about his patients and always tries to help them! He is an asset to ClearSight Eye Care !

I really appreciated the quick appointment time for a vision problem I was having that affected my ability to see clearly to work. Each staff member was very welcoming and took great care of me! Dr. Keen did a great job fixing my vision problem!

Husband had his vision checked and ordered glasses which were paid in full. Was advised it should take a couple weeks for his glasses to arrive and they would call him to pick them up. Hadn't heard anything and it had been 3 weeks so he calls them only to find out the order for his glasses had not been submitted and a new order would need to be placed that would take an additional two to 3 weeks. We are on week 4 of waiting on his new glasses so far so I would advise if you want glasses in a timely manner to go elsewhere. This is very unacceptable customer service for a new business just getting started in a small community.

I have been a patient of Dr, Keen for the past 5 years started with him in Bluefield and followed him to his new location. Dr, Keen is very knowledgable, explaines in detail what he finds in his examination and takes his time. He is very pleasant and I will continue with him in the future.
