Dr Howell is the best. Very informative! Very thorough. Took time to patiently & cheerfully answer all my questions & explain everything, as I'd never had my eyes checked. A real pleasure. Great personality for a job involving patients. My only complaint is with the lady who gave me the paperwork. It wasn't a huge problem for me but she didn't tell me the optional prevention testing..like 40 bucks..was NOT covered by my insurance. Other thn that all in all a great visit & nice atmosphere

I have been going to Envision for years! They have the most up-to-date technology to check your vision and eye health. Staff are always friendly. Dr. Blue is AMAZING!!! She really listens and wants to make sure you have the best care and vision possible.

Positives: Dr. Howell and her intake person (optician? I think is her title) are the best in the world. The receptionists are so nice and accomodating. The facility is nice and clean. Issues: The multi-dose dilation medication bottles are not supposed to touch a human, but instead of the optician dropping them from a bottle and never make contact, she touched my eye and/or conjunctiva with the tip of the bottle. She made contact with the red part of my inner side of my lower eyelid (the conjunctiva). I question conjunctivitis, Hep C, Hep B, mononeuklyosis, cytomegalovirus, and others? Their ipad doesn't work hardly at all for the color test, which is super annoying and produces false results. You hit the same button 3x for it to accept your typing once, so you develop a false positive! Their "click the button test" for peripheral vision is not appropriate for all people, especially those (like me) who have peripheral vision loss from congenital issues. It isn't clear why that 12 minute test was done since it was no value to me since I've had eye muscle reconstructive surgery and had clearly know visual field loss since birth (was it to charge more money?) secondary to extensive congenital issues. They sure love to upsell, which I guess is technically part of their job. I tried to call and talk to the manager, but she was in a meeting and I left a voicemail. I may modify this review after she calls me back and move the number of stars. Again, I want to reiterate that whatever concerns I have, I still think that Dr. Howell is the best OD in the world, bar none!

Love this place, they have cared for my eyes for 3 years now, being a diabetic I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great people. Dr. Howell & Blue are wonderful!

I'm giving the "whole" place 3 stars. Only because of some issues with some of the front desk. But I am giving the doctor I'm about to talk about 5 stars. I've been a patient here since I was a child. Back then, they were incredibly skilled. However, after I turned 20 or so, it seemed like their quality of service declined. No one could accurately fill my prescription, and they didn't seem to care about taking the time to fix it. Recently, I decided to return to the clinic. To my surprise, the entire place had undergone a significant transformation. It looked amazing. I visited a few times, struggling to find someone who would take the time to properly fit my contacts. No one would help me. Finally, I was paired up with Dr. Carson Sykes. I want to express my deepest gratitude for his exceptional care and attention. He took the time to talk to me, explain everything to me, and genuinely cared about my well-being. He fitted my contacts perfectly! It's rare to find a doctor who truly cares these days. Most doctors rush through their patients, almost as if they're just another case to be treated. Dr. Sykes, on the other hand, made me feel valued and understood. Thank you Dr. Sykes.

Took well over a month to get my daughter's glasses. They tried to say that she needed a pair of glasses that were like $1000. Then should they said that she would be fine without them if we couldn't get them so did she need them or actually not? They just kept saying that the shipping was delayed and couldn't get her glasses. Her glasses broke within the first few days of having them very cheaply made.

Everyone was really sweet, nice and courteous. Front desk to back exam room. Eye tech and Dr were very pleasant and communicated with a smile! I love going to my eye Dr appt at Envision Eye Care of Marion, VA! Thank you for your prompt attention and service!
