I have not been seen by Dr. Long personally, but my 2 son's were treated by here during their high school and early college years. What i do KNOW, is that you will not find another optometrist who prides herself and her practice of being very THOROGH with her exams and treatment. She is family proud and family owned and she treated my son's as though they were her own. The wait time in office and during exams are so because she appears to pride herself with dotting every i( literally) and crossing every t ensuring she is is providing the most up to date and appropriate care needed. She is definitely a advocate for vision correction. One son graduated college and the other is now a college sophomore. Thank you Dr. Long.

Last Friday afternoon I arrived 15 min early for my appointment, nobody was at check-in, just a note to be seated and somebody would be back soon. Sat there for 35 minutes (20 min past appointed time) and nobody ever acknowledged my existence, despite multiple people seeing me sitting there so I left. Nobody ever returned to the check-in desk. I went just down the road to another place (no appointment) and got an exam + glasses ordered in under 45 minutes.
Update: Below response from owner is a lie, nobody said a single word to me the entire 35 minutes I waited.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share our experience with this eye doctor's office.
My wife went in recently for contacts when we moved to the area. Back in California, (where everything is expensive) she experienced a long wait an inflated billing.
Despite having a scheduled appointment, my wife waited well over an hour past my appointment time before she was finally seen. There was no explanation or apology from the staff for the delay, which felt disrespectful of her time.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the only issue. After the visit, she received a bill that was significantly higher than what was expected. When I contacted the office to discuss the charges, they were dismissive and completely unwilling to review or adjust the billing--even after I provided supporting documentation from my previous doctor's office.
The lack of professionalism, transparency, and customer service was deeply disappointing. We expected better care and accountability from a medical provider. We would strongly advise others to be cautious, ask detailed questions upfront, and be prepared for long waits and potential billing issues.

Beware of /Overbilling - Kindness Doesn't Excuse Dishonesty
Yes, Dr. Long is kind -- but don't let that fool you. Like others have mentioned, this office overbills. I was charged $225 for contact lens "fitting services" that were never performed. I came in to have my prescription checked. It did not change, and no new lenses were needed or fitted. Yet I was billed anyway.
I called the office multiple times to dispute the charge and was ignored. On my third attempt, Dr. Long answered and said the office manager would contact me. No one ever did.
Dr. Long may be nearing retirement, but that does not excuse a complete lack of accountability or integrity. Patients deserve transparency and fair billing -- and you won't find it here.
Update: 6/9/25 The office manager responded on the Google review and stated they have refunded my money in the past. This is completely untrue. And....having checked with other optometrist's offices on the area it is NOT a law to charge for fittings. If that is the case, then how did they refund my money if it is supposedly against the law?????

All around great experience. Hours of availability was great. Friendly staff and the Doctor really took her time with me. She explained the process and wasn't flipping through lenses so fast you feel pressured to make a decision. She loves what she does and it shows through her interaction. Highly recommend
