The visit was okay. It seemed like Dr Bastiach got annoyed when I asked him to tell me what my vision number was. After all that's why I was there for my routine eye exam. Maybe he was having a bad day but he wasn't very friendly. His receptionist was very nice and attentive.

A complete waste of my time. My appointment was scheduled for 12:30. I waited until 1:40 and was still never seen. People have lives and timeframes to adhere to. If you cannot respect my time I will not be supporting your business. Very unprofessional. He walked past me many times and never acknowledged me or apologize for the wait time knowing he was well over the timeframe. I will never be back here again.

Always professional, friendly front desk. Dr. Bastaich has done my eye exams for years. He is generous with his teaching & recomme ndations. I hope he continues to ne available for years to come.

As a new patient, I guess I had high expectations about this eye center. I arrived on time, did the prep work with the front desk girl. Then I was put in an exam room. The doctor will be with me shortly, she said. 20 minutes later I asked her, as she walk by room, how much longer would I have to wait. She said IDK he's usually here by now. That's when I found out he wasn't even in the office. 5 minutes later I walked to the front and asked if she heard from him. He replied to her text that he had a flat tire. Question: Wouldn't you call your assistant to let them know, so she could inform the patients. After another 10 min (34 min total waiting time) I left telling her how disappointing this is and to cancel my appointment. This way he had more time to handle the 3 people that came in after me. I read some of the previous reviews while looking for a local eye doctor. I still made an appointment to see for myself. When I arrived, the waiting area had many patients and the office has been around a long time, so to me that speaks volumes and we can have different views or interpretations of situations. I wanted to leave my review AFTER taking the time to see the office versus jumping to conclusions. Dr. Bastaich and his staff are friendly and professional. I have been to their office a few times now and they have a lot of patients but I feel like we are helped in a timely manner and there is an established workflow for the patients to be checked in, seen, and checked out. There are different days and times that are busier, but that is normal for any office. They do have an online appointment scheduler and also have walk-in appointments. So please do expect some days/times the wait will be less and some days/times, it may be more. It's like I usually plan not to go to my post office first thing Monday morning or late in the day right before the holidays I can say I am VERY GLAD to have such an important service in the local mall! Thank you to Dr. Bastaich and your office! I do see other reviews state they left voicemails; if okay to say, the employees at the front desk are also helping patients check in and with the initial screenings that occur before the doctor performs his exam. So if it is something urgent, stop by the office instead and someone will help you in person. There is a posted lunch time, but that would be the same for many offices or businesses. We all need to eat or have time around lunch.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Bastaich for more than 10 years. For the past couple of years, we've been able to make our appointments on-line and are seen promptly upon our arrival. Dr. Bastaich takes his time with each of us ensuring our exams are thorough and our questions are answered. Another annual eye exam completed yesterday for the family and we received the same excellent care. See you next year, Dr. Bastaich.

The Dr. himself is good! The one star is ONLY regarding trying to get through on the phone. I called many times and left a message as directed. I finally got through to somone who stated they were busy due to year end appointments and they would give me a call back in a few hours - never happened! They also stated that they don't not currently have access to their voicemail! Ridiculous!

I'm very disappointed! I've been a patient for many years and continued to go even when not covered by insurance anymore. On my most recent visit, I decided to try a different type of contact lens, requiring a trial and follow up visit. The contacts we tried were not at all a match for what I needed. The office failed to pick up the phone when I called regarding my follow up. I left 5 VM messages over the next few weeks in an attempt to get in and have the issue corrected. I NEVER received a call even though the outgoing message insures a call back within 24-48 hours. I had to go elsewhere (more convenient) for a new exam so I could get a prescription and order contacts. Three months later I made a trip back to this office in an attempt to get a refund being that I never received a prescription (which is what I paid for) and the doctor refused. He claimed the money was already refunded via a dispute (which it was not) and proceeded to chastise me for trying to get my money back. He admitted that the office VM had not been working for months but took no responsibility for the issues that caused. He then equated his services to a tanning bed membership, explaining that once the fee is paid, it is not his problem if I actually use it or not. I would highly recommend going ANYWHERE else before making an appointment with this office.
