I was diagnosed by my eye doctor with a retinal tear on a Monday in early September. She called RIV immediately, and got me an appt that day, and I had a successful surgery the next.
Dr. Astruc and his team were everything I could hope for: compassionate, professional, skilled, friendly, and caring. And the teamwork is amazing! I have had several since, and now I won't see him until six months from now.
I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Astruc, and the other medical and administrative team members.
And he has a great sense of humor.

I have called the billing dept so many times and left messages as well as left a message for the office manager to return my call regarding my husbands account and have not rec'd a return call. Absolutely no customer service here!!

Don't plan on getting in and out, the wait is 90 minutes even with an appointment time ... why bother to schedule appointment times when never can be met. Good doctors is the only plus!

Horrible!! They know you are here because you have to be. 90 minutes waiting to be called back and told by the RUDE receptionist that I can reschedule if I am not happy with the wait time.

I can't recommend Dr. O'Keefe and this practice highly enough! After a bad experience with a retina specialist closer to my house, I drove over an hour to Fredericksburg for a second opinion. Everyone I interacted with at the office was friendly and helpful, and Dr. O'Keefe was excellent. He actually listened to me instead of being dismissive and just looking at images on a computer screen and ordering a bunch of tests. I hope I never need a retina specialist again, but if I do, I will be making the trip back down to Fredericksburg!

I go to the Retina Institute every year for an exam as I have diabetes. Dr Tabassian is always very thorough, the staff is nice and the place is surprisingly well -staffed. I have seen doctor's offices run with 1 receptionist and 1 nurse and this place was loaded with people working. I was checked in before I even had a chance to finish writing my name on the call sheet, and there were 3 people working to check people out. My appointment for next year is already set.
