Today 6/24/22 was my first time here and the Customer Service was amazing. Dr. Rishi Parikh and his team was very friendly, polite and nice. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. It's good to know that some Company's has not lost that great Customer Service. Since this pandemic a lot of people forgot how to be nice and courtesy to others. Being polite and courtesy will carry you a long way in life and I promise you won't die for being nice.

I was referred to Dr. Parikh. The forms were confusing as they had two versions depending where you found them on the website. I wasn't told anything about prepping for my preoperative cataract exam like I have seen for other doctors such as cleaning your eyelids and using artificial tears two weeks prior to the exam for the best results. I have dry eye and had them when I came to my appointment because the vent in the eye exam room with all the machines was blowing in my eyes and I am typically dehydrated most of the time due to medication. I found out from other sources that dry eyes can affect the measurements that they take for this exam. That was my first red flag. It may just be me but several of the staff seem like they weren't sure what they were doing or didn't feel as though they had much experience and lacked confidence. Second red flag. I even wrote out the symptoms I was experiencing and a detailed explanation of my job as a Neurodiagnostics R. EEG T. to help with making a decision on which IOL would be best. The doctor was nice and friendly, however, I felt rushed. I didn't do a lot of research prior to the exam but enough to ask a few questions. It was obvious he did not read my personal experience and job description so our discussion left me with more questions. He did say I could call him but I don't think he would have much time as I was told by staff he does about 30 of these a day. I wasn't given details about my eyes as to any measurements, concerns or shape. Third red flag. I had to ask what he recommended based on my job and he said distance toric when most of my job is up close and most of the things I do are computer and up close. I have been nearsighted all my life and I think it would be a big shock to have distance and not be able to see my hands in front of me. I'm not really sure because no one really explained what to expect visually post surgery so I could make an informed choice. Fourth red flag. Other information not covered: *They only offer laser which isn't covered by insurance. Sixth red flag no flexibility. *They didn't discuss depth of field or exactly how far is near, intermediate, and far measurements. *They didn't mention they could clean the capsular bag to prevent POC and have to have Laser treatment later. (epithelial cells that grow behind the lens) *They don't mention if they give you antibiotics during surgery to prevent infection. *They don't mention that the scapulas that hold your eyes open can cause droopy eyelids and if you already have droopy eyelids it can make it worse. The coordinator was nice to talk with but unable to answer some questions she is mainly the person who schedules and tells you how much everything is going to cost. She actually made a comment calling cataract surgery geriatric LASIK. That's not the word she used but close enough. It may offend someone. I read the doctor's background and on paper he sounds like a very skilled and competent surgeon. His staff wasn't giving me the confidence I needed so I'm getting a second and maybe a third opinion. It could also be that it was late in the afternoon and everybody was ready to go home at 5:00. If I go back I will update my review.

Staff, especially Trey are great. Trey took the time to get pertinent information from me as well as the necessary screening being done. He is an awesome technician. Dr. Parikh quickly recognized my visual problem and offered a solution to resolve it soon. Great practice and highly recommended to others.

This message is more for the practice itself than Dr. Parikh. Dr. Parihk is very polite and knowledgeable. Although my condition is complex, he did not make me feel like a lab experiment. His office staff are all great; in particular, Erica. This woman consistently made sure I was comfortable. Her customer service skills are top notch! That means a great deal to me since I am vision impaired. I felt 'seen.'

Dr. Parish is the best. I feel confident that he knows what is best for me. He's respectful and very professional while still making you feel like he cares. I feel very blessed being under his care. My eye sight has improved since I have been coming to see him. Thank you Dr. Parikh.

Initial exam/visit was good. The follow-up with scheduling cataract surgery is poor. A week has passed the surgery coordinator has yet to make contacts Numerous calls have been placed and telephone voice-mail left Not good patient/medical office follow-up
