when I called to schedule an appointment the lady that answered the phone was rude. She was interrupting. She wouldn't let me get a word in and she specifically said "we are a premium shop and you don't sound like you would be a good match for us" I was happy to spend money at this establishment but they wouldn't even listen to what I had to say or give me an opportunity to speak. So they sound not be able to know if I was a good match. In fact I was completely aware of the fact that this was a premium shop... I even saw this place out specifically because of the premium status. Due to customer service I cannot recommend this location to anyone.

Until I moved back home to Ricmond, VA, I lived in Philadelphia for 30 long years.i have worn eyeglasses since I was 14 years of age. I am a tiny person, and in Philadelphia, no optical shops had, or would order, adult frames for me. Therefore, I wore Peanuts, My Little Pony, or some other children's frames. When I returned to VA in 2002, it wasn't but several months before I needed new lenses. My opthamologist recommended Riverfront Optical owned by Ray Guinn. Ray stocks small adult frames of high quality: unique frames that you won't find anywhere else. If there is a particular frame that I would like, but Ray doesn't have it in my size, he will order the frames for me if the manufacturer makes the frame in a small enough size. If not, no worries; there is a vast selection of frames to choose from. Better than the selection of frames, is Ray Guinn. Ray is a master of his trade. No one but Ray has ever adjusted, or re-adjusted my frames to perfection. No one. Ever. Ray has a gift, which I call "The Touch". He is both affable and professional as well. If you go to Riverfront Optical just one time, you will never go to another optical shop. Kudos Ray for operating an optical shop with a focus on excellence!

Both the eye doctor and the owner were really lovely. They charged me $25 for an eyeglass measurement, which was an unnecessary charge given that I was re-ordering my existing glasses online as I explained. I didn't care for that, but they were otherwise both really kind.

I was referred to Riverfront Optical by a friend who has dealt with the Opticians there and was very satisfied with their services. After having several, local Optometrists fail to properly configure my bi-focal contact lens, I was very pleased to find out that this is just one of their many areas of expertise. My Optometrist, Mr. Guinn, did a splendid job of finding just the right combination of near and far vision for my eyes and the appropriate Lab to make the lens. I recently visited Riverfront optical for a backup lens and once again, it was the same great, no-hassle service as before. Conclusion: If you need a state-of-the-art approach to optics, this is the place to go!

Found frames for me in an emergency when my other ones broke, but the frames I bought were poor quality. The screws on both sides just fell out within a week (even after tightening them) and the entire thing fell apart in less than 6 months. I wouldn't come here again.

Ray the owner is super nice and his inventory is huge. Great turn around time for glasses. We have been customers for our whole family.
